About Black Lily's Tale

"Maybe that was the early-blooming black lily's curse..."Eighteen years have passed since the containment of the threatening virus CLII, which decimated over half of the minors in the population.Although people have returned to their normal lives, a mark was left on society.Hana Sasamori is a third-year student at the Naeshiro Private High School in Sapporo. She is a rather quiet girl, but inside, she feels restless.Just before graduation, Hana finds herself reliving the same day over and over."That's right... I'm in love with her."More than anything, Hana wishes for the happiness of Itsuki, who came to her help in the past. There is little she wouldn't do for her.Hana thinks..."She probably doesn't want me to hold onto such a feeling..."Being an adolescent, she thought it was just a phase that deserved to be suppressed.Nevertheless, together with that realization came a curse. This is a story of love and malediction, of persistence and sorrow, a story set in the meandering space between two people looking for each other.

\ A story about "liking" and "cursing" in a world where girls are afraid to even say they like each other. This work is just a story about a girl who loves a girl.
However, a pure love triangle with a boy is born in this story, which vividly depicts the subtleties of the conflicted and turbulent adolescent mind.It speaks to the sense of entrapment that you feel even when you are not being blamed by anyone. A single word can destroy your relationships and memories. This is a story of sweet sorrow love and a curse that makes you want to cheer for the girl.\ Overcoming the "tragedy" of March by "interrupting the choices".The main character "Hana Sasamori" is caught in a loop with a tragic ending in each chapter.
Unlike ordinary games, this title does not force you to make choices!
To escape the tragedy, you must "interrupt choices and change your fate" during specific conversations through your intervening will.\ "Guess" and "type" to connect to a new fate.Next, having interrupted the choice, you must actually enter an alternate "word" by typing it into the prompt.
By "guessing" correctly and inputting a word that changes their fate in the story, you may avoid tragedy and create a new fate. You will surely want to use the above features once you bear witness Hana's single-mindedness.
You can intervene in the yuri and lead both girls to happiness by using your words to bring them together."*To clarify the concept, this work incorporates elements of a pure and adolescent love triangle. However, there is no intention or malice on the part of a boy to "interfere" with the relationship between two girls.(For details, please refer to the "Regarding the Yuri Nature of the Game" section listed further down.)

This VN for me is a clear case of where we need a "neutral" option. It had both very positive and very negative points about it that I'd like to write about a bit more. Let's start with the pros. A) As someone who has experienced a similar situation to Hana/Natsu, I do think this scenario taps into the dilemma someone faces in a conservative society to be who they truly are if they are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. This is something I think the writers really nailed when thinking about the tough situations they wrote for Hana/Itsuki and Natsu/Shu. That is to say, the fear of facing social suicide is a real threat even now for many. This really shined with the inclusion of that extra route for Rin where you can see how traumatic/scarring those opposing forces can be on someone's psyche/mental health. B) By showing this discrimination and the microaggressions for what they are, as a result, I think it provides an interesting story dynamic (in theory) that should keep the reader interested since there is a lot of power in this kind of narrative for its target audience (presumably members of the LGBTQIA+ community and, especially, lesbian readers). But, unfortunately,…

Beautiful game about fighting heteronormativity! The choices system is very unique and makes this more of a puzzle game.

Very intriguing story. Not unrealistic, honestly. It's paths are also unique. Translations seem to be getting fixed as more ENG players enjoy it but I stay for the story.

游戲方面建議直接看攻略,當普通的視覺小説就好,我看著攻略玩都覺得選項很白癡 故事方面還ok,主要是很喜歡角色們和他們之間的互動 而且免費DLC還要手動加入這點也很白癡

The art, voice acting, and writing were all amazing. Every character is both fun and interesting, the drama was really fun too. There were a couple moments in the game that left me actually shocked and forced me to take a minute to recollect myself. Black Lily's Tale hit a lot of plotlines I personally love, this VN needs to be more popular!! I've seen a few people complain about the interrupt mechanic being very specific and difficult to work around, but as of April 2026, I found it to be very forgiving and very intuitive.
