This game was utterly fantastic and unique. I played it through four times in a week and the dread i felt never became any lighter. With the antagonist, I have almost never felt more scared of any horror game character. He is genuinely so unsettling and i love him for that immensely. I also am in love with the ambience and sound design and i would 100% recommend this game to anyone and everyone!!!!!! I will be playing this again, and again, and again:D2 found this helpful

Loathful is a psychological indie horror game where you are a 'Neural Net Solutions' employee who is testing out a new form of tech that uploads your mind into a cloud, giving you an AI designed digital getaway for future people who will use it for things like vacations or to go places if they are incapable of physically doing so. You go through a process of getting into a pod, where you are sent to a digital hub to explore, but because its still new tech, you come across some noticeable bugs and glitches. When in the main hub you have to get floppy disks and insert them into a computer, which gives you a short video of what to expect and opens the door to these "zones". can be areas from a tunnel of love swan boat ride, to a walk down a train track. once getting through each area, you will return to the main hub to repeat the process. while going through the motions, the main hub has its own hidden things to find, which can only be progressed via items you find within the zones. You also can find small ball maze mini games, which reward you with a CD that gives you more stamina to run. I havent gone into detail on the horror part of the game, but id prefer to keep it vague for peo…
Good puzzles, scary atmosphere, did not rely on jump scares to be scary. Overall a good phycological horror game about ai going rouge.
Note: Copy obtained for free from a dev giveaway on the /v/3 stream. Thanks! Pros - I found it to be quite spooky. The made me tense in quiet moments and made me jump when it wanted to. Any and all scares in this game are tasteful, nothing cheap. The story was enjoyable enough and kept me playing. - Nice retrofuturistic GUIs. And the video content is also appropriately stylised, and I really like it. - All the maps are in-universe paper which I like. Sort of like Silent Hill. The same applies to ingame documents and notes. Quality stuff. - Some very interesting gimmicks. I really like the idea of ||using the flash on a camera to briefly be able to see|| and the game does as much as can be done with it. There's lots more. - No issues with the puzzles. Nothing had me completely stumped, and I felt clever when I worked some out. A music puzzle had me for a while, but I'm not too good with that kind of thing. - I like the enemies and situations you're put in to. Some tense stuff here. There is a very interesting enemy here I haven't seen elsewhere that's a sort of inverse of a more common horror game enemy type. [spoiler]Too many horror monsters move when you aren't looking. How about…
