About Loca Deserta: Odesa
Are you ready to conquer the New Lands? Join us in our new adventure game set in the historical south of Ukraine. You will help the brave cossacks and tartars build a new home in Khadzhibey-Odesa, while facing obstacles, challenges and mysteries.
The game has around 70 quests. Each corner of the open-world map is filled with activities, be it crafting or helping a lonely widow to fix her house. Each quest you complete changes the vicinity and prings the joy of progression for you.
All dialogs and conversations are voiced in English and Ukrainian languages! Each NPC got its unique voice. More than 40 voices are in the game!
The game is heavily inspired by the classic crafting and city-building games from the early 2000s. You have to build new productions, barns, farms, manufacturings. The goods produced by simple productions are used in more complex ones. Expect 7-levels deep production chains!
When you progress in the game, the NPCs will start sharing with you some valuable information about the treasures, that are hidden in this lands. Try to guess which NPC has real knowledge about the treasure, complete all of his or her quests. Once you do it, the NPC will tell you exactly where the treasure is burried. Take a shovel, dig it. And boom, you uncovered another mystery of the south Ukrainian lands!
The treasures you find have to be brought to the central hill and placed in the correct slot. Don't worry, there is a treasure hunter sitting nearby. He will tell you everything he knows about storing treasures!

Hello guys, i want to show you about the game ,,Loca Deserta'' & it's Developer ,,Dmytro Gladkyi'' A few weeks ago - i asked politely on the steam discussions for this game , if the developer can please add Russian language support? It would be no problem,because he can do it easily because he speaks & understands Russian language. (the base game is in ukrainian dialect) The developer responded there is no plans for this. Ok,his choice, whatever. But what he do next? Took me just over 13 hours to complete the game which I consider pretty good value for money considering the very reasonable asking price. Takes quite a lot of patience so be prepared to walk about quite a bit in order to build then upgrade the 23 different buildings, then fulfil 69 character quests and finally dig up five hidden treasures. The effort is definitely worthwhile and the developer should be congratulated on producing this excellent little game, thank you.7 found this helpful
[b][i]Loca Deserta: Odesa[/i][/b] is a crafting and city-building game set in the historical south of Ukraine, specifically the seaport Odesa, where you play as a Cossack who helps to build the local economy. You gather resources by chopping down trees for logs, mining stone for blocks and taking logs to a sawmill to turn into boards in order to erect various types of buildings, farms & fields which produce a variety of different goods & items, some of which are used to produce more complex goods & items. Across the map there are 23 buildings/farms/fields to build in all, most of which are upgradable, for a total of 64 upgrades in all. Most buildings essentially have 3 levels, and an upgraded level 3 building will naturally produce a greater number of its specified goods/items with each use than it can at level 1 (or 2). In addition to the building aspect, there are many NPCs for you to talk to all over the map, some of which simply give you helpful information or tidbits of story, while others ask you to complete quests for them. Imagine a Cossack themed Animal Crossing. Obviously it does not have the same budget as the big hitters out there, but I has its own spot in that genre. The beautiful art style with awesome polygon and pixels shows the game's character and the creator himself. The game play style is straight forward and simple. Help all the people in Odesa and uncover the secrets and history of the Cossacks. There are cute and funny moments, but after a while it begins to slowdown. That is okay since the game is always inviting the player to explore and travel around upgrading this and moving some supplies. Personally, I am very bias as I am an Odesa native and Ukrainian, but it does not take away from anything others who are less familiar with the time and place from enjoying it! 9/10 Thank you Dmytro, from another Ukrainian Dmytro! <3
