Players have mixed feelings about The Last City, praising its unique blend of strategy, RPG, and survival elements with an engaging post-apocalyptic atmosphere and soundtrack that creates an immersive experience. However, common complaints center on the grinding requirements, flawed management systems, poor worker AI automation, and lack of customization options like audio and cursor settings, with some finding it oversimplified compared to traditional strategy games like Age of Empires.

The gameplay of The Last City is not entirely typical for a strategy game. There are also elements of RPG and even survival, which adds to the interest1 found this helpful
Too much the grind for me. Management sys is flawed. Better off w Age of Empires
The gameplay is simple and awesome. Maybe on the next patch it will comes with "option" to set up some of the things like sounds and cursor speed. And also the Idle worker are not doing work, they do another job which is already a worker in it. Maybe to the next patch it will comes with worker setup it can be automatic or manual. very good game.
The Last City is a gripping post-apocalyptic experience! The game's atmosphere is intense and immersive, with stunning visuals and a haunting soundtrack that draws you in. The gameplay is engaging and challenging, with a great balance of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving. I love the sense of desperation and survival that permeates every moment, making every decision feel crucial. The story is also well-written and thought-provoking, raising questions about humanity and hope in the face of catastrophic loss. Overall, The Last City is a must-play for fans of post-apocalyptic games and anyone looking for a thrilling adventure. 10/10 would recommend!
The usual pixel game for kids and music music helps to distract from everything else that is in the game, so the game is easy and fun to play.
