Pharaoh is my favorite game of all times, so i had high hopes that Grimgrad will be at least as good. Sadly, it's not. Grimgard is barebones copy/paste of Pharaoh without trading, monument building and all of the small pieces that made Sierra's classic so great. Add to that annoying building rules and limitations and well...i have finished the campaign and now i am deleting the game and won't even think about it ever again.

game looks neat but i found the story quite uninteresting and the gameplay is weird and some mechanics arent explained and it really screws you when you are trying to learn the game. ultimately i got bored of it qyuickly. if i could i would get a refund on it.

No. Just not worth your time even at the $5 mark. City builders need good balance. I have hundreds of items in stock yet workshops and shrines remain empty. The gods are constantly angry and punishing me. It has the walkers style like in the old Pharoah type games so i understand roadblocks and such it just doesn't seem to work very well. I kept adding stockhouses hoping that would help - assuming they are even the ones who deliver the resources. Nothing seemed to improve the logistics. I played to the 5th and final chapter and then just stopped. At no time did I have any fun playing.

very slow. very boring. in the start wit story. OMG it just wont shut up with pop ups for you to read. then when you do start to play it just keeps popping up with common sense info thats not needed. heres an idea. get a voice over for all that so people can enjoy the game. i wanted to sit and enjoy this but found my self annoyed with alot and lost my patience. owell maybe ill try it another day but i wouldnt buy this unless its on a super sale like i got it..

Returned after last big update in may 2025, the game became a bit better in some aspects. But everything is still pretty basic, other city builders do everything better. - Graphics are low quality, even for indie standards - Menu's regarding UI are bad. - The campaign is 5 scenario's that give a few hours content and is pretty simple story. - Gods mechanic is poorly done and when you are behind, its hard to get back in their favor.
