Slow living - is the best descriptor of this game. Still early access since 2020, but what Ostriv have is quite polished already with supply chains, details in everything including step by step of building something visualised with care, and despite the small scale of the villages you ended up building it is quite flexible with no such thing as radius nonsense of Skylines-influenced builders. Yes the slow pace is a feature, though the calendar could be improved to be even slower as winter seems to arrive way too soon. Improvements that is sorely needed is economy, a rather opaque production chain could be clearer, and minor bugs here and there (the great shoes blackhole incident comes to mind), the environment is rather sparse with no mountains (Ukraina is mostly flat I get it but there's Carpathia and Krym) and no forest growth mechanics like Foundation and similar. Some fortifications would be welcome, again could just follow Foundation mechanics doesn't have to be like Manor Lords or similar.6 found this helpful
Great game. Played for years, through tons of updates. I still love this game, however, the last update, or one of the last updates changed something, and I'm frozen on the main screen, furthest I could get was into the maps, and then it froze again.1 found this helpful
Ostriv is a city building game like none I've played before. The intricacies of the home life of your settlers, the expanding paths system, crop rotation mechanics, and so much more make this my all time recommended city builder. There's a perfect mix of realism and gamification that well and truly makes this one of the best games of all time. I have been a believer in Ostriv since 2020, and continue to be elated every time a new update hits my timeline.
This game offers countless times of fun while other bullcrap games like manor lords doesnt even have 2 hours in it. Maybe only negative is workshop is missing.(huge one for me) İF you like this genre %100 buy on discount. İt will pay your money back as fun for sure.
