About Lonely Astronaut
Lonely Astronaut is a one-button arcade game in which you pilot the corpse of a long-abandoned astronaut floating in a cosmic graveyard. In the process, you might find out something about the human condition. But probably not.

I don't want to sound like some Scrooge who goes "bah humbug" at all indie games. I have enjoyed most indie games that I've purchased and/or played. Lonely Astronaut has potential, I'll address that first. It has an interesting premise, and the actual gameplay is fun for the first five minutes. There's nothing technically wrong with the game. It performs competently as a piece of software. But at the same time it doesn't feel like a game in the conventional sense. In Lonely Astronaut, you push one button to rocket around a small map and see things. It really isn't much of a game, you can load in and then play for a few minutes and get off, and you'd get much the same experience as if you had played it for hours. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it does leave the game vulnerable to games with more content and more depth. The settings aren't terrible, mainly because Unity handles most of that upfront before you get in the game. The only actual settings after you load in are volume controls. No control adaptability, which is a little frustrating. This game is a one-button game but if you double-tap a key, you detonate a bomb which clears your area of asteroids. When you, like me, are a kosmonaut corpse floating in space, you have time for games like these.

Управление интуитивно понятно, что позволяет полностью сосредоточиться на исследовании и разгадке тайн, которые скрывает безмолвный космос. Это не просто игра, это опыт, заставляющий задуматься о своем месте в мире и бесконечности бытия.
