Decent game but nowhere near as good and deep/difficult as LotR II. Downgrade3 found this helpful
I've played before the steam port. You should turn off shadows in this game and then the bugs are substantially infrequent.1 found this helpful
The game feels empty. There is quite little city management element in it. It seems all the player can do is keeping fighting endless battles. Also, the game doesn't provide any statistics about the units or instructions as how to use the units. The players need to test each type of units in the battlefield to learn how it actually performs in a battle. In addition, those knights and vassals never improves/grows, neither do the army/units. It feels so lacking in every aspect.1 found this helpful
Too bad, do not even install, do not waste your time.1 found this helpful
The Game won't run, every time I launch the game it crashes during boot-up. It runs for a few seconds, the screen resizes and goes black, the the game crashes and I'm returned to the Steam window. I've tried many different configurations and compatibility modes, nothing gets it to work. I can find no solutions on the forums and Rebellion Player Support offered me no solutions either, this is a total waste of money because I can't even play it.

The result is a game that feels bold in concept yet uneven in execution—a title that captures the spectacle of medieval warfare but sacrifices much of the strategic nuance that once defined the franchise. The game’s core design revolves around a dual-layered system: the overworld map, where players manage territories and assign vassals to administer lands, and the battlefield, where armies clash in real time. On paper, this structure promises the best of both worlds—broad strategic command combined with immersive tactical combat. When it works, it delivers an impressive sense of scale and power. Seeing armies of knights, pikemen, and archers storming castles while siege engines roll across the field creates moments of genuine excitement. The ability to control mul…
