Keeping in mind this game is in early access, a pleasant single player tower defence with a fun art style and a laid back survival crafting system with a lot of depth already. Gather resources, build your defences and base. and watch your hard work pay off when your towers defeat the waves of enemies, this game is quite polished and good for casual fun. There are some quality of life features I would like to see added to help repairing the base which can be a little tedious as you build more and more buildings. There are also numerous features that are still marked as WIP when you interact with them as well. I had to restart a few times before I got the hang of it, but once you get past the first few waves, the game becomes quite challenging and full of tasks to complete between waves. Looking forward to seeing updates from the developer as Lorne matures in Early Access. For the price, I think there is easily enough content in this game to keep you playing for hours, building a cool looking town alone is keeping me occupied and the map is quite large.1 found this helpful
Tower defence games has historically not been my cup of tea, but I found this rather neat and relaxing and the game gives you a lot of space and time to find your footing in the beginning. Visuals/models are nice and animations are fluid. While the world of this game (on the surface) seems a bit deserted in the beginning there's obviously a lot of depth hiding already for those who persist to find it. Seeing as this is an Early Access title I would expect the world to be fleshed out as time progresses, and the obvious bugs that are there still I will expect to be ironed out. I will definitely get back to this game in the future to see how far I can get! (P.S. considering how large the map is already it would be nice if the sprint lasted a little bit longer... :) )
I’ve played around 110 minutes so far, and I’m already really enjoying Lorne. The game has a great mix of exploration, combat, crafting, and base building, and it feels like there’s a lot of potential for it to grow even further. The world is fun to explore, the gameplay feels satisfying, and the overall atmosphere is really enjoyable. For an Early Access game, I’m impressed with how much there is to do already. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what the developers add in future updates. If you enjoy survival games with action, exploration, and base building, I’d definitely recommend giving Lorne a try! Really promising game so far, excited to see where it goes. 👍
Going into this game I was expecting not to like it, not because I thought it would be bad but because it's not the kind of game I play usually. I was going to check out the game quick before going to bed and doing more of a deep dive later on but I found myself really enjoying the relaxed feel of the game and ended up playing for longer than i was expecting. I've just starting the building my base and tried some of the available buildings and have only entered one shrine at the time of writing this review. I'm certainly just in the beginning of the game and I usually take some time to warm up to a game before I really start liking it but this took me by surprise and I'm exited to explore some more of the world tomorrow hopefully. The game has some minor bugs and some uncompleted features in it, but the game feel and the world is just fun to explore. I don't think there is a map/minimap to help guide you which I really enjoyed and made sites found while exploring much more exciting. If you find yourself a bit confused about the objective/goal of the game when just starting like I did, my suggestion is to just start exploring and see what happens. It was a long time ago i just exp…
Fun and chill game. Has some bugs here and there but nothing that ruined the session for me. Definitely a game I can see myself coming back to. Recommend!
Awesome game loved it! A tower defense game. A few bugs but plays really smooth on my system. found a few floating items, but nothing major being it is still in Early Access. I found after a few time fighting the waves of minions I turned off the town defense so i could fully check out the world. for all it had to offer. I'm sure it can be fully explored with the town defense turned on. The crafting is well thought out, Potions, weapons, items to be crafted. the building system needs some work but it does work to stop the minions as it is supposed to do. A lot of grinding is needed for the materials but that is expected if you want a good defense for your town. the map is a good size take a bit to get across from one side to the other. the map post system (warping) works as intended also. would be nice to have a full map to view, but running to a sign post work just as good for now. Keep up the awesome work!
