About MAGICAL BEAT

Magical Beat remixes the puzzle genre by adding in a beat! Drop colored blocks in a match-3 style to the background music’s rhythm with perfect timing to send blocks to your opponent’s screen. Charming 8-bit characters and menus guide you through stages with different BPMs for unique challenges and combo possibilities. Magical Beat features an original Vocaloid soundtrack created by Nico Nico celebrity and prolific sound creator Kikuo, and also popular soundtracks from various works developed and published by Arc System Works, including tracks from "GUILTY GEAR" and "BLAZBLUE" series!

◆Puzzle Dropper meets Rhythm!

Drop the color blocks a.k.a. beatons at the soundtrack's beats and connect 3 or more beatons of the same color to eliminate them! You can then send greyed-out beatons to disrupt your opponent depending on the score obtained from eliminating your beatons.
Clear the beatons on your side faster before they can stack, and send your opponent into beaton hell!
If you missed the beat when dropping the beaton, you end up dismembering the block into pieces and they fall randomly, thus disrupting you from your desired outcome. Pay heed to the Beat Synchro Gauge at the side of the block map, and feel the music!

◆CHAIN time!

The beatons do not get eliminated immediately upon connecting 3 or more of the same color, and remain on the field for a period of time. Use this time to connect even more beatons of the respective color to clear even more at one go!

◆Popular soundtracks from new series including "GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-" and more!

Over 100 soundtracks are available for this game! Including popular entries from "GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-", "GUILTY GEAR Xrd", "BLAZBLUE", "RIVER CITY" series, and more from other Arc System Works titles!

(UPDATE: They fixed the delay issue! Good job.) This game was originally released on the PS Vita back in like 2013 and for what it is its not too bad, however there is one big problem and it's that the music doesn't seem to sync with the gameplay, I don't know if it's just me experiencing this problem but I feel like it should be looked into. But aside from that I think it's cool that Arc decided to re-release this obscure Vita game just randomly.

this game has been stuck in arcades since like 2012 I am very happy they decided to finally drag it onto pc (and they added a TON of new songs on top of that) puzzle/rhythm game hybrids are a very overlooked genre i think there needs to be more of them

FINALLY! FREED FROM THE CONFINES OF PLAYSTATION VITA HELL! A block dropping puzzle game in a similar vein to Puyo Puyo, but with a rhythm game twist in which you must drop the blocks in time with the beat of the music for maximum effect against your opponent. If you ever played OD Beat Drop on the Xbox 360, this is its spiritual successor. (It even has the songs from that game too!) Now, what the store page doesn't tell you is that this release has all the DLC from its previous version PLUS the entirety of the Guilty Gear STRIVE and Under Night In-Birth II soundtracks as playable songs. All in a tidy $10 USD package? Oh, its absolutely worth it. Especially if you're a fan of rhythm games, puzzle games and the exceptional soundtracks of some really good Arcsys fighting games.

Wasn't Serial-K a boy in the original version? Weird change if so, kinda sick of crossdresser erasure. Or maybe my memory is faulty.
