About MALAKA: The Last Report
🧾 Story
"The Last Report" follows the journey of Malaka, a man searching for his missing friend Tirto—a local journalist who disappeared while investigating illegal mining activities in a remote Indonesian village. What begins as a simple search quickly turns into something far more dangerous. The village of Karangemas hides a disturbing truth: polluted rivers, silent locals, and armed groups guarding something that should never be exposed.Through fragmented voice notes, environmental clues, and the traces left behind by Tirto, Malaka uncovers a story of exploitation, fear, and a truth that powerful forces are desperate to bury.As the tension escalates, Malaka must decide—walk away and survive, or risk everything to reveal the truth.
