About Mars Vice

2184, the Martian city of Pavonis: the place to be on the partly terraformed red planet. The Martian population decided to take evolution on a whole new path and turn their once human bodies into a plethora of shapes and forms: fully custom-built bodies to take on the challenges of living on a harsh new planet.
New Mars, with its subsidized transhumanism, would practically be a utopia if it wasn't for the rampant corporate greed and power-hungry police, all looking to take advantage of its fresh-faced populace.Enter: Dax, civil investigator with poor impulse control, and his world-weary new partner, Anaya.
Welcome to Mars! Don't ask too many questions.
  • Non-linear dialogue and keyword-based interactions.
  • Best of both worlds: Visual novel & 3D adventure mechanics combined.
  • Explore lovingly hand-crafted 3D environments brimming with clues.
  • A deep dive into Martian biopunk and corruption through a comedic lens.
  • And, naturally: Take selfies with and finger-gun plenty of uniquely weird NPCs!

For those that enjoy story driven games, this one is very good! Considerably linear, and without the puzzles I'd prefer in point-and-click adventure games, but what is on tab is certainly worth it!

It's a nice game with a decent story, if a little cliché with some things. It being an old school point and click adventure in 3-D helps gives it some freshness. But, it is very, very short, so I would probably wait for it to be on a good sale before picking it up.

Mars Vice is a wonderful game, it has a few problems, but overall it's well put together, and i hope that it'll have a few sequels in the works. Overall, it's a very fun game with a unique setting and fun characters. It does well incorporating its sci-fi elements without feeling like an utter dystopia. The characters are fun, rather complex, and well designed. Likewise there are a wide variety of settings that help add to the story. I can't say that I was entirely fond of the ending. I felt that the game ended a bit quickly, and the final antagonist reveal didn't really groove with me. Likewise, as with most visual novels, the lack of choice was a bit annoying. However, overall its a well put together game, whose biggest problem is that it ends far too soon. I really enjoyed the story, and the build up was really well done. Overall, if you're a fan of mystery stories, sci-fi transhumanism, or furries, I'd recommend this game. I hope to see another game in this series.

Short and sweet, a gorgeously rendered adventure for when you want a nice tight story you can complete in an afternoon.

Mars vice has brought so many smiles to my face, Dax the investigator you play is endlessly charming in both his actions and observations. I would love to see further adventures with him and his friends.

NOTE: PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING! I know I list this as "recommended" in a sense of yeah, it had quality, it had style, it did have memorable moments, but there are some flaws which makes you think twice about it. I will say, the animation along with the art direction are spot on. It took me 4 hours to complete (3 achievements evaded me upon completion). The experience of the game had me shell out $5 per hour. Which is...okay? Developers, I DO love what you did, but it does seem a bit short. From how long the credits were, I get it. The ending....seemed a bit rushed as if you encountered budget constraints. I will say if you do another game in this world, I am going to raise my expectations and hopefully it will be longer, more interesting, and still be just as lovable.
