[h1]Story[/h1] Mankind has begun to settle Mars and has set about the process of terraforming the planet for wider human habitation, but unusual developments have been identified by the Mars Security Service, and you, as a skilled and respected officer, are put in charge of a task force sent to investigate what is going on. Your only communication with them is via a telecommunications link providing sounds and still images, increasing the need to pay close attention as there are no visual clues as to what might be coming up, only those relayed to you by a team member's voice. [h1]Visuals, audio and UI[/h1] Presentation of the narrative is unlike your typical visual novel, with each person's observations appearing in an individually coloured tab which scrolls upwards each time the next comment is revealed. Gods of the Red Planet is an interesting visual novel; most unusual in its presentation which sees you trying to piece together a mystery told through observations relayed back to you by an expeditionary force under your control. This is all conducted via text and photo exchanges. The writing's probably best fit for a Young Adult audience\ but the story's solid, and there are enough different routes and outcomes to warrant a second playthrough.
