While the Art is great, [strike] to be forthcoming, the game needs some bug fixes. Another review mentioned a few typos, and especially the confessional second being broken, which I second. Also, some art didn't transition in a couple spots leaving me with the wrong visual for where I am in the story. Around 30 minutes in some interactable items got stuck on my screen and stayed for the rest of my 45 minute playthrough, even if I saved and reloaded. [/strike] Bug fixes were implemented! Bugs aside, while the plot is not the 2nd coming of Shakespeare, I wasn't sure how it was going to end, and that is more than I can say for most movies and TV shows. Its a fun ride.3 found this helpful
There's a good interactive visual novel beneath the surface here. The artstyle is gorgeous, truly unique! Unfortunately, Mass of Consumption is (currently) held back by the following: - I noticed typos (a instead of an, mostly minor things like that) within the first 5 minutes of starting the game. It feels like the most important aspect of a visual novel, the writing, hasn't been given as much attention as it should have. - After you get to the church, there's a moment when you first obtain the key that its jpg appears tucked behind the layer of the altar. - Somewhere during the confession booth segment, the text box stopped responding to mouse clicks, I had to use my spacebar to advance the text. I'm sure there's more if all of this came around within just a couple minutes of play. I want to like Mass of Consumption but this game needs a hotfix, until then I can't recommend it.2 found this helpful
