Sometimes you have a bad day, and sometimes you wake up and accidentally start the apocalypse. Meet Jack, a mischievous kid with a twisted family, his trusty slingshot, and endless bad luck. Mayhem in Single Valley is a distinctive indie adventure developed by Fluxscopic Ltd. and published by tinyBuild. Blending action, puzzles, exploration, and narrative-driven gameplay, it presents a strange yet captivating journey through a small town thrown into chaos by an environmental disaster. What begins as a seemingly ordinary day for a rebellious teenager quickly escalates into a chain of events involving toxic contamination, mutated wildlife, government secrets, and a looming catastrophe. 7 out 10 good little game
So let me preface this with, this is a pretty solid, dare i say even great game to play. Just don't try to 100% it. Follow the guide for collectibles if you wish, as there's just clones and collectibles. Clones there's more than the amount needed so if you miss one or two in the guide you're fine. Collectibles on the other hand, not so much. So for starters there's no map in the game unfortunately. Probably wouldn't help overall but wow is making sure you don't miss any collectibles kind of tough. As in it took me ~6 hours to play through blind and another probably 5.5hrs on the second playthrough for cleanup, missing the collectible in the basement and my furthest back save being too far after that point. Whomp Whomp I guess. I still highly recommend. Just know if you miss even one collectible that you're due for a whole extra run where you don't miss *any* of the 64 of them. Everything else is more than doable in two runs and that's really my biggest complaint with the whole game. I'm not sure if there's some sort of fix or something to making that above issue any easier or anything, but man that's definitely a tough pill to swallow though to finish this game 100%. Rarely do you find a game which tries something new, and it does not feel out of place. This game is a cute and funny adventure with puzzles and zombies. Sure we've seen that before, but give it a go and you'll see... not like this. I thoroughly loved playing through this game and I would easily recommend it.
