Yeah! Now I am even more interested in the mystery itself! Yet again the soundtrack makes an already eerie atmosphere extra creepier! And there is a part where you can feel the "pressure" of it too! While we still run around mostly inside this time around, we DO go outside at some point! The puzzles were fine, even if I couldn't comprehend two or three of them... XD The only one that gave me trouble is that "trace all the lines"... I think it was on the chest? In the ground? Yeah! Okay, so that one has SEVERE trouble with registering my clicks. But...! After a few? We got that puzzle tucked and ready to go! Now there is just one more episode anddddddddddddddddddddddd let's see what it has in store for us... I mean me!!!!!!!!3 found this helpful
it's alright
Completed, had fun. Just needed a couple of magnifying glass hints, but otherwise nice puzzle difficulty in this chapter. Now on to Chapter 3!
Unlike the Prologue and Chapter 1, the puzzles in Chapter 2 are more obtuse. I played this on Hard mode, and I do not recommend that route since there's no toggle to return to Normal mode with in-game hints. I needed a walkthrough for many parts. The biggest issue is when I knew what the game wanted from me and I couldn't figure out how to fulfill it. I'd say the worst culprit was the cage pattern because it silently introduced a new mechanic--dragging your mouse--to a game that up to this point was click-based. So I was clicking the pattern, getting zero feedback, and entirely confused on how to proceed. I'd say the game itself is good overall for what it sets out to achieve, but definitely choose Normal mode so you're not left hitting your head against the wall.
I played Meridian 157 – Chapter 1 and found it full of suspense and mystery. Chapter 2 continued the story with the same atmosphere, interesting puzzles, and an immersive industrial environment with tunnels and hidden areas. Both chapters were equally good and kept me engaged from start to finish. I have just finished Chapter 2 and moved on to Chapter 3. The only downside was that there weren’t Dutch subtitles. Overall, Meridian 157 is a strong point‑and‑click adventure series that delivers tension, mystery, puzzles, and atmosphere across its chapters.
Excellent series. Impressive work for such a small team of developers. Cant wait for more releases.
