Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
A first-person puzzle game with a heavy emphasis on exploration and finding hidden collectables. The first game involved beating lots of small, self-contained escape rooms. This game is completely different, to the point that I think they should've given it a different name. You don't need to play the first one to play this one. While you start out solving small escape rooms, the game quickly opens up into a massive estate and grounds that you have free reign to explore and solve puzzles in whatever order you want. About half of the puzzles can be solved as soon as you see them, but the other half require a bunch of items that are scattered around the island, and it's not always clear which is which. I spent some time attempting to solve puzzles I wasn't capable of solving yet; and I spent even more time convinced that some puzzles weren't solvable yet when they actually were. There's probably around 200 items to find in this game. Some of them are really well-hidden - I don't think I would have found them even if I …

For some reason the prologue to the game left a poor impression for me and I didn't care to go any further the first time I played. But I came back to it after several months and was very glad I did. This is much, much bigger than the first game, with an entire island estate to explore and a LOT of puzzles to solve. All of the areas and rooms are full of furniture, ornaments and other objects, which makes it feel like a real, lived-in place. There is even a good selection of music for you to enjoy as you progress! Most of the puzzles are fun and quite interesting to do. There is a lot of searching for and collecting of items scattered throughout the game, so it is best to take your time and be thorough! My only issue was that the logic for some of the puzzles was not very clear, but there is a hint system and I was happy to look up the useful Guides for any I got stuck on. I would have liked a bit more variety to the puzzle mechanics, but overall I enjoyed the game very much.

I really wanted to like this game, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. For starters, I'm pretty sure a number of the positive reviews here are paid for or AI generated. I can't imagine someone walking away from this game with anything but a mixed impression. There were some good puzzles mixed in there, but there were a large number of completely arbitrary ones. You end up running through the game picking up PILES of useless crap for no reason. Cards, Horseshoes, paintings of fruit, miniature cannons, masks, hats, napkins, vegetables... the list goes on. The only reason you're picking them up is because they glow when you hold down the "Highlight objects" button. Some of them are absurdly hidden inside piles of other junk that are not relevant. Eventually most of this junk you've collected ends up being used in a puzzle somewhere, but it just feels so unnatural. Moreover some of the puzzles are things that are simply obtuse for no reason. There's supposed to be some story about a family and their servants, but that feels pretty meaningless and is just some side fluff which is not relevant nor enriching to the core gameplay. Yes, the chef was smuggling cookies through…

Havingt Gordian Rooms still somewhat in my mind I have to say that game sucks. A lot of the puzzles are obtuse. the game did not need to be an open world. So much backtracking and item hunting. It is just all so stretched out. There are some really great puzzles in there. A lot are even segregated to their own sections but as a whole it just does not really work as an escape room. It might have worked better if there were no open world and it would have been just a house and each room/set of rooms was a puzzle sequence. Yes I know they did that but there is so much empty space between them. The section till the player reaches the house was fine and interesting even having four puzzle rooms at the same time was great but after that the game hit the brakes and one got stumped in each puzzle room. A lot of puzzles I figured out by pure luck. Maybe focus the flow a bit in the future. Also was not a fan of the weird open end. Or what ever was going on there. there was a kernel of an interesting story but it did not work. Felt like they wanted to put way too much into the game. I so hope they do not give up and try again because there is skill on display and passion. But it just did…
