Miko no Kanata is a totally traditional Japanese-style romance adventure game that is a culmination of everything that developer Fan-na has put forth since they got started in 2004.
"Cycles" is the first part in this series and focuses on the first time the protagonist and the heroine first meet and the romance that awakens between them.
All the heroines are miko!
Fighting miko! Working miko! Moe miko!
In the classroom on his first day of school, protagonist, Kiryu Yuuya, meets Mikanagi Akiha, a girl with a mysterious aura about her.
Akiha was the spitting image of a miko who repeatedly appears in Yuuya's dreams and kills him.
However, Yuuya felt a strong sense of fate in their meeting each other.
"It's feels like we finally meet... Yuuya-san."
Akiha said those words, filled with a strong fascination in Yuuya.
They were soon drawn to each other...
However, Akiha's older sister, the miko, Koharu, let Yuuya in on a startling revelation.
"Akiha-chan... is not someone from this era."
A young woman's love that pierces through the vastness of a thousand years.
The tragic fate imposed upon these fighting shrine maidens.
And the followers of darkness who seek to rampage through the world of night...
With those strong feelings alone, will Yuuya and Akiha be together?!

A very strange story. At the beginning it seemed like a romance and I really didn't know what to expect. A lot of the conversations were extra and unnecessary. Let's just say the first two hours of playing was just waiting for the denouement and when it finally came the idea was off and boring. I can't recommend this game and I won't be playing the next episode that is apparently coming out.17 found this helpful
This Game is not complete and will have a second Part to it or more. The BGM was beautiful and the game takes about 4 hours. The Plot is more dramatical and deeper than the most VN's but for the Romance part it was a bit too fast at the beginning for me. It was a fun little experience and i recommend this game to people who want to play a VN that is not only generic romance but has a bit deeper story with romance in it. PS: i would recommend buying it on a sale.4 found this helpful
It's the second part in a four part VN series, it's quite frankly rather dull, the VA on auto never matches up with the text speed no matter what you put it at so it just jumps mid line to the next one even if a character is still talking, it's a shame that it's like this because the premise is actually rather interesting but the execution is flawed and since it's the second part, a lot of story beats assume you've played the first part, and that, as of this review has yet to be translated, though it is underway, maybe I'll appreciate it more if I read the first part and have a better idea of the story, but until then my opinion stands
