About Miscreation: Evolve Your Creature!

Evolve your creature to survive Yggdrasil! You are a newborn blob at the base of the great tree. You must climb to prove your worth, under the eyes of the goddesses. Collect parts of other animals, combining them in your own body to become the optimal creature!

Miscreation is a game about customizing a creature. Start as a small, defenseless blob. Grow legs, arms, a tail, a new head, wings and some big, nasty teeth - become your enemy's nightmare or a cute, cuddly creature. Thousands of possible combinations!

Gameplay takes place in a side-scrolling platformer world. Optimize your 8 body parts for characteristics like speed, defense or air time to get through each new environment. The only way to keep up with the competition is to evolve!

At the end of each stage of your journey, you’ll be challenged by the guardian boss, which must be overcome to move on. Defeating your enemies has benefits: regular enemies or bosses may drop parts for your evolves. Other evolve parts are found hidden around the world.

Miscreation’s unique evolve mechanic is based on classic games like the E.V.O.: The Search for Eden (1992).

Miscreation is the original 2D take on EVO from the people who later made Strange Seed. Sure, it's a little buggy and awkward at times, but it's fun to gradually evolve your creature part by part. On sale for $1.50, you can't go wrong.

I just don't find the gameplay enjoyable at all. It's a grindy, the gameplay doesn't have much depth to it and and visuals aren't particularly appealing. The game is cheap, but in my opinion still not worth the asking price. If you want a satisfying platformer that will keep you entertained for an evening or two, consider getting webbed instead. It's cheaper and way more enjoyable.

Despite the negative review complaining about bugs they're really not that game breaking. This is a small game, a step up from a flash game. Did bugs make flash games any less fun? Nope, not in the slightest. It was fun to play, making your own little critter scurry about and murder things is plenty entertaining. Any bugs that can be come across can be fixed by just logging out and logging back in again. THe worst bug I encountered was not being able to eat food, but that was fixed by just restaring the game, it's entirely playable, and the bugs aren't frustrating, just minor inerruptions. I've seen worse bug in AAA+ games and plenty enjoy those games just fine and say the game is great [I'm lookin at you RDR2] So yeah, idk, play this if ya want to waste a lil time or do somethin relatively mindless while watching something.

I was obsessed with watching play throughs of this game years ago but I didn't get the game for myself because I saw in the reviews that there are a lot of glitches and several people were saying it wasn't worth its price. I only just bought the game because it was on sale and I wanted to try it out. I feel bad that I only gave it a few minutes, but it only took a few minutes for me to get frustrated because many times when you jump on the platforms you fall through. It's probably an issue with the hitbox. It really bothers me that the hitbox doesn't match the visual and it makes the parkour so much harder. I'm already bad at parkour, so once I kept repeatedly falling when it looked like I was making the jump I was really turned off by this game. Maybe it'd be more fun for someone who's looking for a parkour challenge, but it's not for me. But in general the game is a really great idea and I just wish that a few things could be improved.
