CreaVures is a charming platformer with creative character designs and a nice soundtrack that appeals particularly to those with nostalgic connections to the game. However, players consistently note that it feels dated, with sluggish controls and input responsiveness issues, while the level design requiring multiple playthroughs to collect everything and the lack of a character recall feature create tedious backtracking frustrations. The game offers decent value for a short platformer experience but falls short compared to modern titles like Ori and the Blind Forest.
Unusual platformer with some weird looking creatures. Each one have it's own abilities and you have to walk all of them to the end. Game feels kinda buggy though. There should be an option to call for your buddy because walking back and forth with both characters is a hassle. Music is good especially on headphones. Visuals are a bit dark with many glowing props. Comparing this one to Ori and the Blind Forest it's mediocre at best. Play only if you're looking for more platformers.
14 found this helpful
CreaVures is a slightly older platformer and while it was fun, you can tell its age. Input and controls didn't feel that great, but for the difficulty of the game it was fine. The price and playtime are fine, but it was the look that won me over the most. There are things to collect in each level, but you can't collect everything at once, so I found it a bit annoying that I had to play levels several times.1 found this helpful
Been going through my games that I bought on sales and I really hope I bought this for nothing, because I couldn't stand it. Finished it, but it's rather janky controls and vines made me want to quit. Very short game, thank goodness. Why so many good reviews, I don't know, but just don't. There really isn't puzzles, it's all platforming with creatures that have you repeat the loop of the same journey over and over... Nah. Nope.
Bitey Cat.
Classic "Jump and dump" game!
This was the first game I ever played on Steam and just finished another playthrough with my daughter. Still love the creative characters, simple controls, and semi-challenging puzzles as much as the first time playing it. :)
