Monster MIX

Crappy English is what we first meet on this game's store page.. and the fact that the game itself opens as Craft Monster, while it should be named Monster Mix, is the usual sign of something made up within few hours.. But I'm reviewing only non-free to play games! Craft Monster actually looks like the title that the whole project has always had, since it stays the same if you play in windowed mode. And even in the beginning of the game we start to see all those features I hate. Ow, that's the contrary.. I mean: we don't see the things I would like to see. No tutorial. No menu. No options. No settings. Nothing. You're provided with a non-selectable level in an aquatic setting (the music is something awful, it's impossible to play with those weird effects) and there will be some kind of bubble spawning. More and more bubbles will fill the screen and you'll essentially given the skeleton of a clicker game. Clicking on the new monsters (or whatever they are, they're supposed to be monsters although they look all like balls with eyes and different colors) will change their color and nature and eventually you'll get a new monster on the screen, thus going on with the incrementation of y…

If you have nothing to do, it's okay to click away on it. The music however gets annoying REALLY fast. The graphics are okay-ish, nothing special about it. The annoying thing is that there are no settings in-game, no game modes or anything that would make the game remotely interesting. Just clicking and dragging blobs on your screen.

Monster Mix might be one of the best games I've ever played. It uses a very interesting set of game mechanics, & I would say revolutionizes the Mix genre of games. I think that as far as games on my steam account go, Monster Mix might be one of the most well made, as it is simply has an incredibly high quality of production. It impresses me, honestly, that the developers of Monster Mix put so much time into a game, made it so good, put so much into it, & ultimately decided to only sell it for a measly dollar. That the developers would be so gracious to us is honestly amazing, & it baffles me that they decided to grace our lives with this magnum opus of gaming for such an impressively low price. I would argue that this game alone is more worth buying than likely any other game, including games on other services beside steam. I genuinely suggest this game if you're looking for a game with a heavy story & immersive content, & even if you're a more casual player, just looking for some fun, I would nonetheless suggest this masterpiece for its incredibly intense & riveting game play loop. This is really entertaining! The monsters are cute and the soundtrack is slightly creepy. I like it!
