About Negative Time

Negative Time is a top-down shooter with bullet hell and roguelike elements where each time you get hit, you are sent further and further back in time, until you are sent into the past they tried so hard to erase. A past before time began - NEGATIVE TIME.Get more powerful by collecting new weapons in this past realm. Then, when time becomes positive, use your newfound power to make it further through the halls of enemies in order to defeat the ones who erased you from existence.Time TravelEach time you die, you are sent back in time a number of seconds, called your interval. Then next time, your interval is double what it was previously. If your interval sends you back before the game started, you enter NEGATIVE TIME - an inverted copy of the game, with its own unique enemies, and new weapons to unlock.Weird WeaponsCurate your loadout of unique weapons from 5 different tiers and 3 different categories. Some of these weapons are quite strange - try to find good combinations!BlessingsCollect blessings to power up yourself and your weapons. But don't think you can just wait around and get by on god's gifts, because these boons don't last forever!Difficult OpponentsFace off against 4 bosses and 20+ regular enemies, as you try to dodge their bouncing, exploding, predicting, homing, and wall-piercing bullets - even one hit sends you back before your mistake, so at the end of the day, you'll need to be flawless if you hope to win.

Amazing animations, a superb soundtrack, detailed lore that is very fun to figure out as you play the game, great gameplay that, despite its extraordinary difficulty, still feels fair, and the numerous enemy types that make each room unique make this my new favorite bullet hell game. The time travel adds an interesting twist that I find very enjoyable and makes the game stand out among its genre. Playing well in positive time makes it possible to get farther in negative time, which in turn allows you to get stronger and do better in positive time on your next run. Overall a great game, the only problem is the limited amount of gameplay, as it took me under 10 hours to beat the game for the first time, and this could vary greatly by skill level, but it's still definitely worth $5.

Very fun game, the health/time concept is innovative and I love how the upgrades are integrated into the system. Improving your run by finding the best way to farm for upgrades in the shortest time possible makes for some interesting moments, and you have to constantly experiment with new combinations of upgrades and strategies due to the time limits. It also encourages you to find broken interactions and "exploits" to keep your build going. Only having 13 reviews is criminal for a game like this!

It's been a genuine blast to follow this games development, and I'm so happy to see it released finally! All the blessings and room combos make this game super replayable! The time mechanics are super clean, and managing your timer to get a ton of weapons super fast is always super satisfying! Now let me tell you a little something about my kooky blast. Spoilers for a weapons mechanics.
Step 1: Equip wand Step 2: Enter the doorway of a room and stop in the passage Step 3: Continuously fire the wand until you have a large circle of bullets built up Step 4: Enter the room and direct the blast upon your foe
Of course that is merely a taste of the Kooky Blasts true power... perhaps you will one day be initiated enough to witness its real strength. Anyways! Negative time is an incredible game, and is more than worth the price tag! The game has a lot of lore to uncover, and a lot of builds you can make so buy it already and start playing!! 10/10 but where are the elves?
