Really fun game. That Slay The Spire thing where they only give you a choice of 3 upgrades out of hundreds is super addictive for some reason. There are some really cool mechanics in this game, like the gold bug that delays your gold harvest but gives you more in the end, and the little outposts that you can also upgrade.2 found this helpful
Lives up to its name in a good way.
+ Fun, responsive, and satisfying. The outposts make the game feel a lot more involved compared to just sitting around waiting for enemies to spawn. - Fairly shallow. Some of the weapons do feel significantly better than others; Static Field nullifies the most challenging parts of the game. There is also AI art, if that's a dealbreaker for you. Overall comes out more fun than not. Certainly worth it on sale for $2.50. Probably still worth it at $5.
As the name promised, time was wasted
with as much as is going on in game at any given moment, I'm firstly amazed that I never had even a blip of lag or game stutter. This game, the design, the balance, the mechanics, the implementation is SMOOOOTH. The difficulty is beautifully balanced, enough randomness that you can't just instantly optimized your way thru it, but enough control that you have to be strategic in your upgrade choices on same levels. Best Time Waster and best $5 I've spent in a long time.
