Night Stones

Relaxing, an adorable little fairy tale for any age. It's very easy but not boring. You are presented with a task, you do the task, and repeat. Impossible to mess it up, and I guess that's what makes it well made, because even simple games are often unplayable. Anyway I actually finished the main story and I feel so proud of myself. Without a doubt, a miniature good time. (I got it on sale for cheap).

This game was pretty good. It'll take about 2.5 hours to beat, and has very little replay value. For that reason, I think $20 is a steep asking price. But if you can get this game on sale, it's an easy buy. The story was simple and predictable, but it was fine. The gameplay was also simple. Here's a snippet of some gameplay that the game actually has you do: You need to climb a wall in a cold mountain area to progress. Climbing takes stamina. The mountains are cold so you have no stamina. A nearby NPC will give you hot chocolate, which removes the stamina debuff. However, that NPC wants you to put a nose on his snowman before he gives you hot chocolate. There is another nearby NPC who will give you a carrot, but only if you light their forge. So, you light the forge so you get a carrot, so you can give the carrot in exchange for hot chocolate, and now that you have hot chocolate you can climb a wall and the game progresses. This is the fundamental gameplay loop. The term for this is "Yak Shaving", and it's not a bad thing. I enjoyed myself while playing. There are some "dungeons" with some puzzles, but they're pretty simple. I groaned when I saw an ice block puzzle (daring today…

Sweet short game. Completet a lot of quests but apprently not all of them. There is an achievment, which is a "Ha, you need a second playthrough!", which i don't love. But since the game is short, it's fine. The Game is very clearly optimised for controler use, which I think could have been clearer. You can play through it, with only keyboard (mouse is not even needed) but some places get tricky. For this sort of a game, there is A LOT of 4th wall breaks in it. Often times for explaining which is nice, but sometimes just to make a joke, which could have been written without adressing the player directly, but it's fine. A lot of sign adress the player. Some Characters do. Just things that remind me, that I'm playing a video game. The Game kind of expects you to be invested into this world from Minute 1 which wasn't the case for me. Only after the first hour I was starting to get really invested. I'd love the option to swap Lady for a cat, but hey, I don't always have creative control, which is good. In Terms of story, I think the Nameless Character could have a better relationship with the playcharacter. They go from, never speak to me, to close friends, almost insta…

I enjoyed this short game. The art style is cute. The controls are simple, but the camera handling felt a bit unintuitive, so I couldn't get the hang of it. I think the game is aimed at children, but it works well for adults too. The story isn't bad, but the ending didn't really appeal to me. [spoiler]I had hoped for a happier ending. Unfortunately, there isn't an alternative ending either, even after collecting all the keepsakes.[/spoiler] The gameplay was entertaining, though not particularly innovative. The sources of inspiration are quite obvious. The gameplay-relevant abilities work well together, and the progression system is well-executed. The world-building is detailed enough - familiar yet refreshing. I enjoyed discovering new areas and finding items that opened up further exploration. The sale price of €2.92 is reasonable for this game. In my opinion, while the regular price of €19.50 might be justified from the developers' perspective, I wouldn’t advise to spend more than €10 on it.

A cute little game i would have never touched if i wasn't following the dev on youtube. The game is fine as a like first ever project, but i do have some issues with it, why i can't recommend it in general. Starting with the price, i got it for 3€ on a massive discount. 3€ should be the base price not the massive discounted price. ~2 hours of story gameplay is way too short for 20€ and still too short (imo) for 3€. - But since the gameplay is kinda boring i wouldn't realy wanted the story to keep going anyway. - The controls on mouse and keyboard are not good either. - It gets better with auto camera off but still felt clunky and i died a few times because of the weird camera angle. - My cursor kept moving to the second monitor and mouse clicking made me tab auto of the game when the cursor was on the second monitor. -The only reason i kept playing is because i know how much passion the dev put into the game, i enjoyed following you on youtube and wanted at least see the end result after all that years. Iam not sure if the game is ment as a kids game - it probably is. But if it isn't the puzzles are way too easy.

Really fun chill adventure experience.
