About Normal SHMUP
Normal SHMUP is a strange shoot em' up game based around classic gameplay. Go back to the roots of gameplay and defeat the cycle of repetition that plagues you. Relive memories of space invaders and other classic top down shmups. Accept the challenge of this world and defeat your own weakness now!
NORMAL MODE
Contains health pickups and your health starts at 5
HARDCORE MODE
No health pickups and your health starts at 1. Get hit once and you're dead!
ENDLESS MODE
Fight through a randomly generated series of enemies. Normal mode rules apply

Controller
Game has full controller support.
Move using the left stick and shoot using the X button or equivalent on your controller.
You can rebind the controller in the gamecontrollerdb.txt file.

Compete for the highscore in leaderboards for all three gamemodes!

Pretty good shmup little skeptical of buying a smaller game like this but it was pretty good and it actually has a good amount of content that proved to be challenging. Some small bugs but none of them make it a problem. It's very satisfying to play the game and it jokes of the idea of feeling accomplished from playing games which adds a bit of uniqueness to it that no other shmup I've played has4 found this helpful

Screen opens up in a strange resolution that doesn't fit the screen! Couldn't see the bottom of the play field because it extended past my Windows start bar! Picked up a "power up" and then the shots were not aligning to my ship position (offset to the right of my ship) Background doesn't blend it is litterally 2 images scrolling down the screen that do not align. Menus..... well you can barely read any of them. Music and Sound to make your ears bleed! I searched for Shmups on steam and for some reason this was near the top of the list! Presentation is poor. This game really shouldn't be on Steam i am sorry to say. If this is the developers 1st commercial release then to be fair they are not charging a lot in all fairness but this is not good enough to be charging for. Maybe it belongs on Itch.io rather than this platform.
