✦ AI summary

Obscurefiend is a short tech demo-like experience that takes about 15 minutes to complete, praised for its good Unreal Engine 5 graphics but hampered by significant bugs including clipping oxygen tanks that can make the game unfinishable and collision issues that cause the player to get stuck. The core gameplay consists of simple puzzle-solving and switch-flipping with limited content and entertainment value, leaving players feeling the game lacks substance and polish.

Video: https://youtu.be/OYxut9xwj6U The whole game takes about 15 minutes to finish. There's a bug in the first stage where if you crouch and then stand up while under some tables in the hallway you'll get stuck. Crazy that it was missed in development. In any case the whole game feels a bit more like a tech demo, and the experience is functional but not very entertaining. Puzzles are incredibly simple, they amount to flipping some switches. Or, breaking some stick things. I don''t really recommend it because there just doesn't feel like there is much substance.

the gas cylinders you need to get through the doors are clipping through the barricades or the wall or the floor so you don't have enough of them to even complete Chapter 1

I don't know if it is or not being actively worked on but it's a pretty bad game as of posting this review... I feel like this was the first project of someone who just got their hands on Unreal engine.. The rtx on the other hand is very nice though!... that is the only thing I enjoyed..

Hey, nice game, enjoyed it a whole lot to its end. BUT, It has a serious bug, and below I post a FIX if you can use Cheat Engine. You need to throw oxygen tanks with the "G" key (don't waste them, they are precious) and shoot them so its explosion breaks boarded doors open. You better shoot them in the air, as the bug is that the tanks tend to clip through boards, doors and walls to disappear leaving you stranded. Dev please correct this ASAP. ! Game screen: Bullets in pistol (chamber default is 7 bullets), magazine bullets, and oxygen tanks you have at any moment are visible pressing "T", R reloads. Cheat Engine: Bullets on pistol, magazine, and oxygen tanks are all 4 Bytes Exact. It's very easy to find the pistol ammo, and the address of the oxygen tanks are just a few bytes away, so you can alter the quantity you have to for example 99 or 999 or 9999 oxygen tanks to last you all game long by excess ! The input quantities are kept throughout the levels, no need to find them again. Just an example (addresses change from game session to game session) : Pistol Chamber Max, 4BY, 104E1C42C88, 7, 99999, Shoot to validate!!!! 4 Bytes Pistol Magazine Default Size, 4BY, 104…

A short game, good graphics in unreal 5.4.4, they didn't finish the control options that also need a mouse sensitivity slider. good price, it could use more content. but everything works well and not bad for a second game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjqkkHYuZsk&t=66s
