Obscure

Honestly, that is the exact kind of game that makes you wonder why more modern co-op horror games are so allergic to just being fun. ObsCure is rough, clunky, awkward, and the camera occasionally behaves like it has been personally betrayed by geometry, but the actual idea is brilliant: Two-player survival horror. Teen horror movie tone. Limited resources. Character swapping. Actual co-op tension instead of “one player is the main character and the other is a decorative backpack.” The camera is absolutely its biggest crime. Fixed angles plus co-op plus enemies lunging out of corners is basically the game saying, “What if visibility was optional?” But once you accept that, it has such a good PS2-era horror vibe. It feels like The Faculty, Resident Evil, and a school detention nightmare got shoved into one weird little cult classic. Jumping straight into ObsCure 2 makes sense too. It is more polished in some ways, messier in others, because apparently consistency would have been too generous. But if you liked the first one for the co-op chaos, puzzle solving, stupid horror energy, and “why are we still in this building?” mood, the second one is absolutely worth playing. Hidden g…

A masterpiece and the best survival horror game ever made imo. Even if it is inspired by resident evil and silent hill, I personally think that this is thousand heads higher than both of them. The atmosphere is js unmatchable. these empty classrooms, the emptiness of which is accompanied by tense choral beautiful music, big variety of enemies, interesting and logical puzzles and overall I should point out, that no matter on which difficulty you play the games is, even though fairly but really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard in comparison to other horror titles. Idk, maybe it's js me? Anyways, my favorite horror game. Nothing matches this games and as they say, old is gold. Highly recommend, 12/10

Very good game even tho I miss the original entrance. Worth buying if you never played it before.

While I didn't find the game scary (this is classified as horror), I really enjoyed it as a single player. Graphics and gameplay (using a Xbox 360 controller) are great, even 20 years after the game came out. I found the story and the characters funny. I have 20 hours on the game because I played it several times to complete some success I missed. Price is very low when on sale, highly recommend! (On the other hand, Obscure 2 is not that good and even looks like a downgrade compare to Obscure 1 so you may not necessarily want to buy both games.)

The G.O.A.T Highly replayable and short enough to retain enjoyment through consecutive playthroughs

I played it for the first time in 2006 and really liked it, now I remember it and it left me with the same emotions and a sense of nostalgia. It has aged well.
