Cruel is perhaps the most elegant, no-fat-on-the-meat, absolutely addictive game I've had the pleasure of stumbling upon, especially in this sprawling, oversaturated landscape of indie games. One of the beautiful things about indie games is that they exist because somebody simply wanted them to exist. They're rarely backed by enormous budgets or impossible expectations. At the end of the day, this is just another artistic medium, and passion is a human trait. There will always be people making games because they have something they want to create. The downside is that there are so many of them. Most quality indie games live somewhere around that $10–20 mark. They're all competing for your attention, and after a while it becomes difficult for any one game to distinguish itself. Every now and then you'll find some $3 game that's surprisingly worth your time, almost like one of those cheap toys you had as a kid that somehow held your attention for way longer than it should have. I always think of those little water ring toss games. Although, when you get older, you realize those things are kind of bullsh*t. This is what its like to go to the roof of a Romanian building for a smoke break(I don't live there btw, but I know I am correct).
CRUEL is a hard game but i like it fun and fast i really recommend it
Amazing Game, its like playing doom but your a raging drunk. 10/10 Would Drink Again
the game is fun most of the time, but the kicking and punching distance is infuriatingly short and you have to be close enough to tongue kiss your enemies for it to actually connect, which is really irritating when you're trying to quickly get rid of multiple enemies just for you to die because you were an inch too far. And the fact that the game is said to be fast paced but i constantly have to go back to pick things up because i didnt walk directly on top of it just seems a little stupid to me. I've got a good couple years of making my own games and I find myself asking "Was this even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ playtested? That doesn't feel good at all" Everything else is pretty good
I'm ass at this game
