Open Wheel Manager - is a management sim for open wheel racing fans.
The game is built around the classical race management principle of indirect control – which means you will not need to micro-manage KERS or DRS during a race.
Your main goal as a manager is to develop a fast car, hire the right people and come up with the best race strategy.

- Drivers will transition between teams as their reputation changes from season to season.
- 2D visualization of each race, which can be skipped if you would prefer to focus on management.
- Maintain multiple save files, so you can run parallel careers.

- Driver, team names and performance parameters are editable in a tool or via SQLite data base format.
- Handy with SVGs? Change team-logos, tracks and trajectories and add them to the svg-images folder

Can't recommend this game. Just buy Motorsport Manager. Instead of working on this game the dev is allegedly working on a sequel. (Has been really quiet lately)18 found this helpful
I don’t understand why some people praise this game at all. The whole game looks like several sheets of “Excel” put together, there is hardly ever a picture or image. Before quitting, I tried at least to reach a race event anyway to experience it but it wasn’t very different when I went there. Cars portrayed as dots(at least they were colored) with numbers on them moving along the track…A couple of control options…Simply boring. I mean I don’t find the simulation genre boring as I played many of them but this one is. It has very little detail and can never replace or even come close to Motorsport Manager. It may be justified if you consider the price but yet I regret buying it even on sale.5 found this helpful

I have fond memories of playing Grand Prix Manager back in the 90's and this game does a pretty good job of hitting that spot. On the plus side: 1. I have played several seasons (a mix of instant and watched races) and have not run into any bugs. 2. Everything is negotiable in the game (staff, drivers, engines) and its possible to extend to multiple seasons. On the negative side: 1. There will be occasional messages that popup, but it would be nice to see those listed in a log 2. It would have been nice to have team drivers stats listed side by side to make comparison easier 3. A bit more graphics for drivers, cars and sponsors would be nice (fell a bit flat when compared to Grand Prix Manager graphics) the engines stats seem to wildly vary from year to year. It would be nice if you could set the range of randomness (or have different tiers of engines that had different rates of change). Overall its a fun game. I am curious to see how OWM 2 will turn out. If you are looking for a more complicated game with more graphics, I would recommend Motorsport Manager when its offered on sale. Will be trying one of the mods soon, I am curious how much will be changeable.2 found this helpful
