About Otherskin
A mission that’s expected to be your last:
Planet Vandermire, the ancestral home of the extinct “Magna” species, is suspected to be the source of the ever expanding Corruption; a universal threat to all life in the universe. Alex is “lucky” number 13 of volunteering Space Crusaders, ready to give their life in deadly solo-expeditions on the planet's surface. Mission “Exodus” empowers individuals with a unique high technology AI suit in order to gather as much information as possible, before falling to the Corruption. It is hoped that with each attempt, scientists can increase the time of survival on the surface and find a solution to contain the Corruption.
Collect alien morphs to expand your abilities:
While Alex explores the planet, every enemy encounter can change your experience! By absorbing alien "morphs", you gather new moves and powers that can literally turn the world upside down.Improve your unique AI-powered suit:
Upgrade your suit powers and maximise weapon impact, life support and combat agility. The high tech suit includes an AI voice that will help Alex on her journey.
Ranged weapons and melee combat:
Use your most powerful ranged weapons and combine them with fast close combat moves. It's a breeze to switch between both.
Explore Vandermire:
This foreign planet is full of varied biomes. Scout every corner of this beautiful but dangerous alien world in order to collect more information about the origins of the Corruption.

Otherskin is a fairly enjoyable game with solid and fun gameplay. There are some technical issues, including a few bugs, one crash, and occasional stutters, but nothing game-breaking. The visuals are decent — not impressive, but they get the job done. The story exists, but it lacks deeper lore and world-building details. The biggest downside is the short length, especially considering the price. Overall, it’s a solid mid-tier game best picked up on sale.3 found this helpful
It's pretty good. There are some frustrating aspects and design choices to the game, but there are a lot of fun aspects too. Some levels I disliked and some I totally loved. It's only worth playing once though, since I can say quite confidently that I won't play it again. Performance is an issue. 2/3 through the game I thought I'd leave a positive review, but by the end, I thought I'd leave a negative review. I'll leave a positive one because I think the game deserves better than a "Mixed."2 found this helpful
Somewhat interesting biomes with mediocre gameplay. It also gets progressively intense but thankfully has a lock-on auto-aim. "After Us" is another similar, mid-tier, indie platformer if you are looking for more of the same.1 found this helpful
This game is soooooooooooo cool! It's beautiful, ran really good once I activated Nvidia DLSS in the options and and the controls are also good. What I really like is that the game feels "oldschool". No NPCs that chew on your ear, just go in and BAM BAM blast the aliens. And you always get surprised with new skills you can steal from the enemies. I personally like it a lot! It actually reminds me a lot of the shooter "Returnal", tough of course it's not as polished as that game. And of course there is also a little bit of Zelda, with all the skills and toys you can find. IMO a very underrated gem!1 found this helpful
Darn, I really wanted to like this game but after several minor bugs I encountered a game ending bug so it's the end of this game for me... On the silly elephant morph test to reach the third floor, one of the power pods just wont electrify, no mater what I do, the other pods have no trouble electrifying but the one by the wall with the two corruption balls... well that one just wont even fizzle a tingle... I'm disappointed in this one.
every time i get to the end of orbital docks after i KILL THE LAST MONSTER it dosent remove the corruption vines around the big eye core which is ticking me off
