EXODIUM Part 1

Exodium is a third person action game. In the late 21st century. Androids with human personalities, an AI gaining self-awareness, genetic prototypes, and technology capable of changing the past. Humanity has learned to preserve human personalities in digital form, while electronic implants have become part of the living brain. This game is still being developed so I expect more content and game fixes over time. Played this on my Lenovo P15 with UHD 630 graphics and Quadro T1000 graphics. Game is very playable at 1920x1080.

Really enjoying it so far. Some moments turned out to be surprisingly powerful. I didn't expect them to stick with me like that. By the way, the soundtrack is great. -------------------------- I finished the game... My laptop is looking at me kind of strangely. There's someone making noise in the hallway. The androids are here for my consciousness matrix!!! Seriously: - great story - great shooting - surprisingly decent underwater swimming - heartfelt dramatic scenes I sincerely recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction.

This world died a long time ago. It just cooled down so slowly that nobody noticed. And in the middle of this world, a fallen soldier inside the mind of an android who wanted so desperately to become human walks along the Grey Road of Reinforced Concrete, following someone else's dream of freedom. With him walks a combat robot who loves TV series and a blind, insane sex doll rebuilt into an electronic support sensor. But who will make their dreams come true? The Emerald Quantum Transmitter? I don't know. I like Sensor. Will I ever see her again? The foolish little mermaid is trying to bargain with an AI for freedom. What can she offer in exchange? Her human appearance? Her memories? Her dreams? Foolish little thing... These forces will chew you up and spit you out. And what will you become then? A fish, a bird, a lizard? A sentient alien cactus? A piece of meat in a refrigerator? Rabbit told her, making sure I could hear it too: "Never trust those who make plans. Only predators make plans." What a sweet and naive little creature! Excellent science fiction. A solid shooter. An interesting adventure. And just a little bit of a cat companion simulator.

Unfortunately a massive downgrade coming from Lemuria. Way less action and humour, way more pseudo-intellectual pseudo-philosophical ramblings and looking for poorly telegraphed interactables in the same three underground bunker/tunnel maps over and over again. In addition to that every narrative beat is accompanied by most generic sounding AI-songs and the journal is littered with AI-generated imagery which completely ruins any credibility of a solo dev and overshadows all pretense of putting your heart and soul into the final product. Hopefully next parts will be more action oriented and won't make use of terrible AI generated songs and imagery.
