Ourea is a fantastic game to sink a little time into. The visuals are fantastic. The hand painted textures fit together quite well and it is worth your while taking time to stop and look around at the world. The use of particle effects and other small bits really make the world feel alive. The games audio is also implemented very well which too aids in making the world feel alive. The puzzles are not too challenging and the game is quite a casual play. If you are looking for a challenge then you wont find it here, but what you will find is a nice, chill and pleasant experience that leaves you wishing the game was that little bit longer.5 found this helpful
I was following this game for a little bit since a friend of mine was involved in the development. I finally got to try out the full build today when it launched and it's quite a nice little game made by some hard working people. The puzzles are fun and well thought out, the music was fantastic and sound design, environments are very nice too :) The camera angles were a little wonky but nothing too hard to deal with :) basically, the game is fun and people should give it a go cause there is too much shovelware on this platform that dwarves some genuinely hard worked projects!4 found this helpful
Very short, but with charming visuals (main character is so cute), a pleasant soundtrack, and simple puzzles that made for a nice casual experience2 found this helpful
I might be able to give this a thumbs up if it were a demo in it's current state. I had much higher expectations, sadly for me. Firstly, I absolutely hate not having control of my camera and not being able to explore. In this you are tightly driven to the end, after solving what round out to be very simple puzzles (and very few at that). The game has only one save point before the end from what I could tell on screen and is only a few short chapters. Most of which are cut scenes. Again, if a demo, I could forgive quite a bit, but in no way can I recommend this as a "game".2 found this helpful
Interesting game. The mechanics are interesting and the gameplay is nice and casual.2 found this helpful
This game is a great example for aspiring devs for the type of effort they should be putting into their early work. Too often I find that new devs publishing their first games just dial in broad swaths of their games. These guys clearly put a lot of effort into this game, but they're just not there yet. I'm glad they got so far as publishing because very few do, and this project shows so much promise for their future projects. For my full thoughts I made a video on this particular game: https://youtu.be/wcsqJBKjnMM1 found this helpful
