About The Coin Game

✦ AI summary

Play over 50 arcade games across a vibrant island filled with ticket redemption, mini-golf, go-karts, laser tag, and a water park while managing your cash and energy in Survivor Mode or relaxing with unlimited funds in Birthday Mode. This arcade adventure stands out with its massive open world to explore, quirky animatronic characters, multiple transportation options, and the freedom to play however you want—grinding for tickets, delivering newspapers, or just kicking back at the carnival.

The Coin Game is a fun-filled arcade adventure on an island packed with ticket games, quirky robots, and endless activities. Explore realistic arcades with machines inspired by modern favorites and swap your tickets for prizes at redemption areas. Head to Larry's Arcade to jam with animatronics Teddy and the Ticket Eaters, or try UFO Arcade's space-themed games, Laser Tag, and Indoor Go-Karting. Don’t miss the ‘90s-style indoor mall with its own arcade, food court, shops, and even a cinema to watch your own movies. Just watch out for the minions – they’re big fans of Teddy and can challenge you in Laser Tag! Looking for more adventure? Make a splash at Lenny's WaterPark or show your skills at mini-golf and RC boat racing at pirate-themed One Eyed Billie’s. And don’t forget the Traveling Carnival with 20+ classic games, rides, and new prizes. For a challenge, Survivor Mode lets you start with limited funds. Keep an eye on your health and energy (right on your wristwatch) by grabbing food around the island. Jerry’s got the healthy stuff if you can afford it, but junk food’s always cheap!

Run out of money? Scavenge dumpsters, hop on your bike and deliver newspapers around the island, or hit up the Pawn Shop to sell extra prizes. Otherwise you might have to beg Uncle Phil for some extra allowance!
If you just want to relax, activate Birthday Mode and live the good life with unlimited cash courtesy of Uncle Phil. Play however you like and enjoy your time at the arcades! Fill your belly with soda pop and cheesy poofs leaving sticky fingerprints on over 50 different games and machines. There are plenty of ways to travel around the island. Take the bus, your very own golf cart, bike or Mom's van. Or maybe walk to burn all that fast food you just had at the mall. Be careful though, there is lots of highway traffic and tourist activity on the island so make sure to keep off the roads.
You can play The Coin Game with any mouse, keyboard or any Dual stick/pad controller. The game includes an easy to use key mapping system to support virtually any controller or peripheral. So you can play The Coin Game any way that you like.

dev got greedy and sold the game to some malicious company, rip i really liked this game and hoped it would one day turn into something really good but it seems that is not possible anymore unless the dev can get the game back and undo this pr nightmare

Game is unplayable now. Should not be out of Early Access. The Dev messed up the game big time by changing some code and now the whole game is basically broken. Also, you now have to consent to a third party agreement to play the game, saying they can take the game back at any time, harvest data, etc. That should not be there to begin with but early access supporters like me and thousands of others should be able to opt out at least. But nope. I think the dev is probably a decent guy and loves his game, but he should have been his own publisher too if Kwalee is forcing him to do stuff he does not want to do. Either way, stay away from this game that has doubled in price, very bugy, and makes you consent to stuff you dont want to.

TLDR: Unless you really wanna play old arcade games from your childhood and win, then I would skip this. The game should still be early access. Physics are rough, the world and art needs to be polished, and lots of bug fixes need to be implemented. Additionally multiplayer was planned before the full release but was delayed. The game wants to be so much more and with some attention it could be. If you don't mind some jank it can be fun, but if you are hunting achievements it's a slog. I have seen this game a few times popping up in my YouTube feed, a cute and fun survival arcade simulator, stocked with some games from my childhood and some original games. Collect tickets to get prizes, buy candy and energy drinks to survive, and try to make it home by curfew. Do odd jobs if you get low on funds, sell your prizes for cash, or try your luck with slots, and bingo. Many classic arcade games have been implemented, from Skee-ball to Wheel of Fortune. Claw machines, stack 'em, pinball cabinets, and of course coin games. There is also a small section of carnival games and rides to experience. Each game also has it's own global and friend leaderboards so you can do some competing with you…

Watched people play this and it looked fun, recently added apparently is a huge huge very unfun (to me I guess) grind before you get to any arcade games in your arcade game, unless you know play the baby version without any challenge at all. No middle ground. Disappointed for now, because I was excited about it and have such little free time, but I’ll probably come back to it later.

All of the dopamine hit of winning enough tickets to get a prize that's actually cool to have, with none of the crippling financial irresponsibility.
