Very nice digital version of the card game. There are points where the system gets stuck, but it's few and far between and is fixed simply by exiting and re-entering the program. I own about $600 worth of the physical cards, and I've beaten this digital version. The digital version is worth getting whether you play by yourself or with others simply because it erases the setup and tear-down time. If they come out with Skull & Shackles, Mummies Mask, or Revenge of the Fallen, and they are done as well as this, I would buy them, no question, no hesitation.2 found this helpful
I have the physical card game and it is a pain to set up all the decks every time you play, but always liked the gameplay. Works much better as a video game and it feels good to grind out missions just to get new cards. Plenty of content here for a couple of quid, would definitely recommend.1 found this helpful
8/10 buy this just for the beautiful soundtrack. and it's a great game, rolling dice feels like tabletop Dungeons and Dragons
SUper buggy game, various situations where you are supposed to move a card from your discard pile lock up the game. And since no separate save files, your whole "campaign" is ruined as even killing the task and restarting the game brings you back to the same unresolvable state. Unfortuantely I only started seeing this after the tutorial and the 2 hours,,, otherwise for sure I would have refunded.
I managed to playthrough the game, but ugh... I just forced my way through those last few missions with the charms you can buy with in game currency to get extra dice and bonuses on checks. It's a very RNG based game, the problem is the game doesn't really give you the tools to mitigate that RNG except by using the charms I mentioned. What is worse, the game goes out of its way to make characters who are effective early on useless later in the game. Case in point: mages. Early on, their spells are great for dealing with enemies. Later on, about half of the enemies lock out your spells unless you can pass a wisdom or dexterity check. Sometimes the game bugs out and doesn't even let you make the check. During the game you have to make ability checks to close locations, and during the early game these are spread around different abilities, allowing different characters to excel in different locations, later on every location has the same kind of ability check. All of this is somewhat manageable, but about half way through the game, the bugs started appearing. Bugs that force you to abandon a mission and restart. I had one bug where I beat the mission, but the closing slid…
Fantastic
