Penelope Pendrick and the Art of Deceit

I loved this game! Felt like a Nancy Drew game :') I really enjoyed the snooping/exploring. I felt like the game had a lot of cool locations to explore! There were a lot of moments I felt so stuck on the next move. A hint/guidance system would be a nice addition. Thank you for making this game! Great story and characters!

i loveeeed this game. I have been playing ND games since they came out and this one reminded me so much of it. You can tell the creator is a big story teller. Some puzzles were familiar, some were so creative and new. The game play was long in a good way, I really felt like it gave me so much to discover. I 10/10 recommend this game. I can't wait for the next one!

For nostalgic Nancy Drew fans, this is the game that will bring us in the new age! From the puzzles to the storyline to the twists and turns one would expect from a good mystery, this game delivered on all accounts.

This game was perfect for getting that Nancy Drew vibe. In my opinion, as near to a Nancy Drew game as it's possible to be without calling your protagonist "Nancy Drew". I appreciate that the "Classic" mode provides notes and a checklist without reducing puzzle difficulty - I often wish that checklist availability and puzzle difficulty were two different settings in Nancy Drew games. My main critique is one that is also common to Nancy Drew games - sometimes it was difficult to know what to do next and I found myself just wandering around to all the suspects and questioning them. I think this game would have benefited from in-game hints and/or suggestions to get un-stuck. [spoiler]Also, the staircase puzzle is HARD and easy to get lost in - it would have greatly benefited from a way to reset to the beginning of the room (even an auto-save created on entering would have been great. Finally, I was sad not to get to do the jigsaw puzzle in the bookstore, and I would've liked to visit the diner that Jane Doe disappeared from myself, rather than just get her story from the police.[/spoiler]

Amazing game! Not only did it scratch my Nancy Drew itch but made me excited to see what's next for Penelope. It's hard not to compare it to Nancy Drew and it's legacy but this game showed that this can stand on its on as a mystery solving series but may even go above and beyond as more is created from the developers.
