It is a good, classic Hidden Object Game. If you are looking for a short, simple Hidden Object game this one will do nicely!

Where to begin? It had pretty graphics and a charming soundtrack, so that's a start. It had only the faintest hint of demonic iconography, so there's that. But it fails in every other aspect of your traditional hidden object game. The hidden objects didn't morph and there's no clear list of what we were expected to find, unless you go digging through the menu. The puzzles were about the simplest I have seen, even for a free game, and to top it off the puzzles pretty much resolve themselves. The story was long winded and boring so I just clicked through most of the letters and exposition, which is pretty common for a HOG, but to then be tested on our comprehension of said story is just a double insult. So why am I giving it a pass? Because, while it is a far cry from its more professional and polished brethren, it is in fact a hidden object game. It also may have been the developers first foray at making such a game so we can't fault them for this. So where does the fault lie? Right at the feet of Big Fish Inc. for not putting this in the $5 dollar bin instead of pretending it is anything more than a very amateurish hidden object game. This is a enjoyable game with a bonus chapter. Unfortunately, they don't make the old frogware Sherlock Holmes. I still replay them over and over again. The remake of the Sherlock Holmes games are not as good. I like the characters in the older games. They seem so much more real. That said this game is an enjoyable game.

Pixel-hunting hyper picky about what's an acceptable active area with very few actual hidden object puzzles, doesn't give you an option to easily return to areas where you missed collectables, was made to collect a shovel and silk bag in order to move a collection of small pebbles, force a raccoon to do manual labour and leave it sad, owl is not a helpful sidekick.
