About Penelope Syndrome

You are not a hero. You are just an everyday average mechanic. You can fight, but without having the resources to repair damaged systems blocking your way, you will die before you escape...

This is a really great game. I enjoyed this a lot. A few things that stood out to me: -The horror was well done. Don't be hesitant if you're easily scared though, it's a very manageable level of scares. It builds the suspense more with sound and atmosphere and survival. If you want a genuine scare though, try "brave mode" aka ghost mode, very creepy and fun. -You may be a bit confused at first. Much like the game Control, Penelope Syndrome drops you in with almost no info and unveils the story as it goes. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded with unique spin on storytelling and an emotional journey. Trust me, its worth it. -If you've played this developers previous games, just know that Penelope here is a very different character then Cherry, Trix, and Alicia Crash. You have to give Penelope some time to get to know her, but when you do, you'll be all in on her journey. -If you get to the end you'll be rewarded with a really great ending credit song. A+ one other thing to note: -There is a "hoard mode" that can possibly trigger rarely and randomly. If this happens try to get out of the level as quick as you can because things get intense and the difficulty heightens. The enemy b…

This is really good, gameplay feels like Resident Evil 2 if it was an RPG maker game, and the story is really solid, found out later some of the side characters have their own games, so if you get into it you have other games to try as well. Story is good and the game is 5$, like 3$ on sale, If you cant even swing that at least look up a let's play or something and then buy it later because the story is actually great.

Excuse me while I cry... AGAIN As usual, I wanna start the review with a disclaimer: I'm friends with the dev, but I bought this game on my own and played it and these are my honest thoughts. Dd Games strikes again with yet another good game! This game took me around 6 hours to beat and I really did enjoy it so much. I won't spoil anything, but if you've played the other games from the dev, just be aware that this one is different from the other two. The genre, style and tone are different. We've entered the realm of survival horror. The premise of the game is unique and I really enjoyed this take on survival horror. Our main character is also unique, but I'll let you figure out why when you play it :) Just to start things off, I think it's important to say this: This is a good survival horror game, in my opinion. Things aren't janky and the puzzles are not just ridiculously obtuse just for the sake of it. I really enjoyed the puzzles in this game and the game overall. This is not one of those frustrating survival horror games. Anyway, on to the rest of the review... I say it in every review, but I always love the characters in the games from the dev. They're fleshed out and …

Overgrown: Genesis has 20% better combat, but Penelope Syndrome has 100% less zombie sex.
