Perseverance: Part 2

so after the first part which is free btw now its time for this but i dont think its add much to the story its like another view of another character about the events still like the game still like this comic books art style? but i hope part 3 is better short game and easy achievements btw .

Continuation to Perseverance: Part 1 (which is free btw) https://store.steampowered.com/app/854870/Perseverance_Part_1/ Same vibe continues: horror/crime visual novel. This one was longer and harder. There are achievements that require you to be sneaky throughout the whole game. 100% achievements require partial 2nd playthrough if you were careful enough on your 1st. If not, then you could start from first scene. Also, there is a partial guide that helps, but not entirely. I enjoyed the 1st one more. Honestly, if I could give a neutral recommendation, this would be one. Would I really recommend it? - No. Would I say I don't recommend it? - Also no. Would I play it again? - No. - Limited Time to 100%: 1 hour (with dialogue skipping).

Massive letdown compared to the first part. The visuals and mechanics were always subpar, but at least story was somewhat intriguing before - now that the story pivoted to the POV of an 'assassin' from the previous deadbeat dad you can tell the writer(s?) are incapable of writing a convincing character at all. Not sure I have it in me to even finish this, and try the third part. Only saving grace is i got both for like 1 eu.

The story is good, even though the protagonist is named Karen and not overly likable. The game gives you lots to explore and secrets to discover, with previous choices influencing the choices that will be available in future scenes. The art and atmosphere are also well done and very fitting. You could easily play it without having played Part 1, but playing Part 1 gives you more insight into certain events/characters. The ending is awful. In terms of the story events, it's fine, but the game just ends very abruptly and anti-climatically, to the extent that on my first playthrough, I thought I just got an incomplete ending because I didn't discover enough secrets or something. Nope, that's the only ending. Maybe it could've worked if it didn't look like something the devs slapped together in two minutes. Yes, I know there's a Part 3. The problem isn't that it's a cliffhanger but that it's terribly delivered. Anyway, as a story, it's good. As a game... there are a lot of problems. First of all, the save feature is somewhat broken.
