A few months have passed since the events of the first game. Another group of people find themselves captured and placed in an abandoned bunker deep underground. They don't remember how they got there, but they are desperate to find a way out. Grace is lucky that two of her friends are there with her, but soon enough they find out that they're not alone there and there are others who were also captured. They're being put through a sick game of some kind.
Simultaneously, Claire the detective is put on the case to find the kidnapped people. It is believed the same person who was responsible for the ordeal Claire went through is also responsible for this. Claire hurries to solve the case and to find the victims as time is ticking and their lives are in great danger.
This is a direct sequel to 'Cold Verdict' and it is recommended to play that game first so to be familiar with the story's events.
Information / Review English
Cold Verdict 2 is an adventure thriller with drama elements developed by Astronomic Games.
Gameplay / Story
The story takes place a few months after the first part. One day some friends wake up again in a dark bunker, no idea how they got into the mess there. It is not known who is responsible for this and it poses a mystery to the abductees. Again, I don't want to give too much away, but anyone who knows the SAW films knows that it's about finding a way out and getting out of here. However, this is not easy because there are traps placed everywhere and you also have to solve small puzzles before the timer reaches 0. The story is again advanced by looking at objects. If you click on one, dialog windows open with several options, which you then have to select. But every decision/answer also has consequences. So in the end it is not certain which of the actors will survive in the end.
Pro
+ good sequel + exciting, entertaining story + Decisions with consequences + multiple endings + appropriate graphics/music background + many setting options + good price/performance ratio + Achievements
Contra
- very sho…35 found this helpful
I was so happy to see a surprise release and a sequel to Cold Verdict game. This time you play as Claire, she became a detective and was called by the mayor to find his disappeared daughter who turned out to be kidnapped by the same masked man who kidnapped Claire before. More secrets are revealed about the kidnapper and the reason behind his actions. The game is as enjoyable as the previous one. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033272299 There were no puzzles or items to pick from, but your responses and actions will affect the people behind you and what will happen to them, you need to choose carefully. Just like any visual novel, you can skip previously read conversations in the second playthrough, and if you choose a terrible response you can always click 'back' and select something else, the good part is that you can save any time. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033272597 The character designs are not bad, The game is quite short though, and didn't give the characters a chance to develop, some of them are likable though. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033272368 Pros: +Interesting story and a sequel …24 found this helpful
A good sequel to Cold Verdict. It's a bit different, focusing on a new group of survivors, as well as Claire from the previous game, who's trying to piece everything together. The game is incredibly similar to its predecessor, but different enough that it's still an enjoyable adventure. Although very short, I still liked all of the characters and wanted them to escape unscathed. Something I've noticed while playing is is that the characters are rarely portrayed as stupid, and I really appreciate that about the writing. In many horror games and movies, the protagonists do absolutely idiotic things at times, and while that does happen here in one instance, the characters will more often try to figure things out and come to an understanding, instead of behaving recklessly. I also really like the fights and intense scenes. They were gripping and had me nervous for the heroes, despite the game being still images for its majority. Excited for part three!12 found this helpful
This was even shorter than the 1st game, which was short. I wish there were more content and character backstories like there was in the 1st game. I still enjoyed it and it's priced reasonably, but still so much potential content was overlooked and just completely missing. They DEFINITELY RUSHED this game!!! Mildly recommended esp if you enjoyed the 1st game but just really strongly wish there was more!!!6 found this helpful

Pretty good, though it felt a bit short.
