About Pineview Drive

A one-of-a-kind horror shocker – a game aware of your fear!

An old abandoned mansion lies at the dead end of Pineview Drive. A troubled man is standing at its gates, looking over the property. 20 years ago he had visited this estate with his wife Linda. During their stay his beloved vanished without a trace – her mysterious disappearance unresolved.

The ominous legends haunting this seaside lodge have become renown. The stories abound that no one has been able to endure more than 30 days within the mansion since Linda’s disappearance. ✦ AI summary

Players praise the atmospheric design and creepy ambiance of this indie horror game, with well-executed scares that create genuine unease without relying solely on monsters. However, many criticize the repetitive key-and-door exploration mechanics, poor visibility in dark areas, and lack of clear story explanation, making the gameplay feel tedious and mediocre despite the solid horror atmosphere.

It was Halloween night, ten years ago when I first bought this game! I was too afraid to play it as it was too dark and my PC got so loud!! Finally LAST year I finished the first night! This year in October I reached the 11th night!! Lots of scares and lots of fun! This is an indie horror game that isn't perfect but for a few scares I say GET IT! Some great videos on YOUTUBE of people playing it can help you if you get stuck!! Next year in October I hope to reach DAY 30!!!!
Search for next key simulator to open another door then search for new key to open yet another door. Falls short. There's some horror and spookiness to it but not as you would expect. Overall very mediocre first person horror. Safe skip.
I have conflicting feelings about this game. The atmosphere and environment are amazing, but the mechanics are problematic and the story is not well-explained. Pros: -The atmosphere: This is a classic spooky haunted house done in a way that just feels creepy. There aren't any physical threats like monsters chasing you around. Really the only danger to our character is fear itself. It just feels creepy, and that's a feeling that I think a lot of horror games absolutely miss on. -The scares: I think they're for the most part well done. Sure there are jumpscares that some people might consider cheap, but there are also some really well done subtle spooks that happen. Cons: -The exploration of the house: Most of the game involves walking around randomly to find a key, then walking around trying every door you can to find out what the key opens. It works okay early on, but as you open up more of the house, the area you end up wandering gets larger and larger. Eventually the game will give you a hint, but until then you just have to keep wandering. You basically need a walkthrough, not because the game is difficult, but because it would just be so tedious otherwise. It doesn;t help th…
