Pineview Drive - Homeless

I have now played all the Pineview content and this was my favourite, it improves over the first game by a slightly quicker pace and you unlock areas rather than individual doors, I noticed a few walkthroughs online had a different path to mine so yours may differ. Still no option to adjust keybindings. I don't recall this in the original but if you can't use your torch your eyes adjust to the night and you can still move about in darkness with some limitation.

English: Pineview Drive: Homeless is mainly a horror walking simulator that reuses many elements from the original – including the same house, almost unchanged. The structure of progression has been simplified, making it less overwhelming but also less intense. Most of the gameplay is about exploring rooms, triggering events, and finding keys to open new areas. The jump scares are often loud and not visually impressive – sometimes you don’t even see what scared you – while the soundtrack does a good job of creating tension, though it repeats quickly. Overall, a decent but unremarkable horror experience. On a positive note, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW granted funding for Pineview Drive 2 – Rising Storm in November 2025 – so there’s hope the studio might deliver a proper sequel in 2026/27. Hey. I don't want to make a long discussion, so let me be quick with this review. Good stuff: -it is very nice to return to this house, in the second game. I liked the first Pineview drive. -the game is not so long, in comparison to first one. There are 10 chapters. - you know how to behave with these jumpscares (if you played the first game). - don't have troubles with keys, because one key opens any door. - nice sounds, good to scare you off. - all achievements in one run. bad stuff: -you will like it only if you had fun with the first game. - the jumps will still get you, if you are not careful - you need to know which door to unlock, otherwise you will stuck in the story (happened to me twice) - bugs with triggers. Sometimes an event don't happen and you will have to run back and forward to start it. - no safe timeframe (in the first game you were safe before 12 am). - in the first game tension was building slower, over all 30 days and it felt pretty nice. https://youtu.be/ubxyqLHZSHc

I'm a big fan of the original game. If you played it - there's no reason to buy this one. Same house, same gameplay core. And it's shorter than the original, so why even bother?

Complete dumpster, the first game was vague but i never got stuck like in this game. Running around with nothing to do but get jumpscared over and over and loose your health. At 2AM many doors are locked and theres nothing to do, waste of time and money.
