[h1] Simple platformer with cardboard like scenery and a bit janky gameplay. Control carton made rabbit on his adventure through the circus. Premise is nice - cardboard circus. Platforming a bit unresponsive sometimes, use grappling hook (party horn) to grab anchor points and swing. Game can be completed in less than 15 minutes. Sounds are ok, no music. Game is missing some memorable ending, it just ends. [/h1]

"PoPuP" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The students made an unusual (and I guess not completely awful) 2D platformer (an osbolete genre), but at least it's presented in 2.5D with billboarded sprites for the characters. There's a weird circus rabbit theme of some kind, it doesn't make a lot of sense, being all in Korean. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. Cute platformer, you use a party blower to latch onto objects to move and swing them. The visuals are nice, and I found the gameplay fairly smooth though a little jank. Not bad for a free game, but also it is in Korean so I did miss the PoPuP lore :(
