It's a decent game for 1€. It's a bit clunky with its building mechanics, and there is no sense of urgency to actually research and build. In your typical survival game you have an urgency to find food, water and shelter to improve your odds of survival. In this game it's all about researching, however from what I've seen there really is no point. I build a base, created a few research stations and workbenches, and then I thought what now? Basically you have no goal other than researching. But i don't think it's a bad game, and besides it flaws it does have its charms.3 found this helpful
Not recommended It does not even work with my system in DX11 mode. DX12 mode has a lot of issues. The tutorial hangs the game in DX11 mode. Joining a game makes it load forever, I doubt it ever completes. It must be because the game lacks DX9 support or is otherwise bloated. So do not even try if you have a dated system. Mine's technologically from 2018, so by recent I mean "at least from the 2020s." These Unreal Engine games are getting worse and worse for even slightly dated hardware to run on. Aside from the fact that they are not optimized at all in most cases.1 found this helpful
This game is not designed for solo play, similar to many cooperative games. Engaging in activities such as flying, walking, mining, and building without specific objectives can lead to monotony. However, when played with a team or a few other individuals, the game's potential becomes evident. I use the term "potential" rather than "all content" because Project Asteriods is still in its early stages and has been developed by a single individual. After dedicating several hours to the game, I can affirm that it can be quite enjoyable to engage in combat and defend oneself within this stunning universe, particularly beneath the starry sky. I am truly captivated by the breathtaking views.1 found this helpful
for a one man dev team its good the crafting is a little complex and collecting materials is slow you will die many times to player placed turrets the progression is very slow after T1 due to lack of materials due to slow material re-spawns and player turrets have played 11 hr so far and not seen a player at all bug reporting is through discord and really needs to be in game over all it will be a good game if the materials/skills/crafting is balanced better1 found this helpful
only played the tutorial.. but that was bad enough. when you build a floor, it wont lock to other floor tiles. absolutely moronic! the most basic of things you'd want to do, and IF it allows it, then it should explain it.. other than that, pretty basic game.
Started at the US Server. Spawned in the middle of other bases that started shooting. You can dodge and get away. Did't know how to find scrap first. You need some Laser tool and then scrap the floating space chunk. Server was empty and i lost the fun in the game after 2h.
