You play as Adrian from Opposing Force, the game is pretty short though. I'd recommend picking it up on a sale because of the quality and length4 found this helpful
7.5-8/10 I get that the flak is mostly because it's a PAID mod, but honestly I really liked it- the custom music, assets and textures, the voice acting was badass, and we are playing as Shephard after all. It's decent in length and the idea that the Combine could also be controlling Earth through a space station is pretty original and not explored in other mods, makes you wonder is simply taking down the citadel in the main games really enough to actually make the combine lose control of earth. It does have a few pretty rough edges though, the room with the 5 hunters can be easily cheesed even on hard mode by hoarding dark energy balls from killed elites, and if you try to kill them all with bullets you're gonna SUFFER because there is no ammo or suit batteries in that room and no space to move around or cover, also those large rooms you sometimes get dumped in that have endless squads of soldiers come at you and there being limited health and ammo makes it overwhelming on hard mode, I had to retreat in the long hallways and headshot them from afar with the .357 just to survive, given that in those levels the soldiers have citadel AI where they just charge at you and have amazing…
The mixed reviews on this are entirely unjustified. SCT did a great job of capturing the essence of HL 2 in a parallel yet still original entry. Many reviewers are hung up on it being a mod but it's a very well crafted mod that absolutely is worth the price. Being super honest... This sat in my library for YEARS because I got stuck at the start and didn't have the attention span to lock in and figure it out. With an older and wiser gamer head, the puzzles made a lot more sense and are cleverly crafted. The enemy AI is borderline suicidal and comes at you in numbers that'd make John Woo get excited and some fights can be pretty tough but I'm from an era that liked a bit of challenge in shooters. 9/10 - Well made, great VO but AI is a little too aggressive.
This game has been so much fun and a great addition to the Half Life Universe. I've bought it for several friends.
not worth 6 dollars if it was free I still don't recommend this game just play Entropy zero 1 and 2. hunt down the freeman may have a bad story but its fun and it has unique guns.
Overall great job, please fix the issue with the long jump at Xen level
