About Half-Life 2: Lost Coast

✦ AI summary

Lost Coast is a short standalone experience where you navigate a coastal village and lighthouse using advanced HDR lighting technology that makes Half-Life 2's Source engine look dramatically better. It's essentially a visual showcase mission that demonstrates what the next generation of graphics could do, wrapped in classic Half-Life 2 gameplay.

Originally planned as a section of the Highway 17 chapter of Half-Life 2, Lost Coast is a playable technology showcase that introduces High Dynamic Range lighting to the Source engine.
