Pilot the Raptor combat jet through 27 intense missions filled with hordes of enemies, devastating bosses, and dynamic environments while upgrading your weaponry and skills to survive. This classic '90s-style shoot 'em up demands precision flying and split-second reflexes as you battle MegaCorps competitors across land, sea, and sky with an epic soundtrack driving the action.
The great action-crazed, guns blazing, shoot ‘em up game comes back straight out of the ‘90s. Raptor: Call of the Shadows and its futuristic world are ready to challenge your flying skills.
Set in a futuristic world, your missions, as a mercenary, consist of flying the Raptor, a sophisticated combat craft and face the MegaCorps competitors through fierce air fights on diverse environments. Fight hordes of enemies, destroy their ships, collect the money and purchase more weapons to upgrade your Raptor jet.
You don’t fear to face hordes of relentless foes on the ground, in the air or on the sea, right?
A total of twenty-seven missions await you. Fasten your belt and get ready for the challenge of a lifetime. The growing difficulty in-game requires flying skills and eagle eye to survive. Are you strong enough to handle it?
MegaCorps’ competitors will do whatever they can to stop you in the air...event if it means to crash into your Raptor. Are you a good pilot enough to dodge them like a pro and defeat the different bosses that will stand on your way?

I kinda hate shmup games. Most are way too hard to really be much fun. I am 45, I don't have reflexes like a cat, and I don't want to memorize every single enemy spawn just to have a chance at finishing this game. Which is why I love this game. Its totally beatable by the average gamer, you don't need to be a shmup freak. I also love that it is has an upgrade store. Not frantic upgrades you die trying to get, and then lose when you die. For a game from the 90s this was way ahead of its time. This may just be my favorite shmup of all time. I have played plenty, not a ton, but I am 44 and been gaming for over 25 years. I have played a lot. Mouse is a little wonky, it feels stuck, but honestly just jangle it and it becomes unstuck. My xbox controller worked no problem out of the get go but I couldn't figure out how to switch weapons, but you don't really need to that in this game. I can't believe this game still holds up after so long.2 found this helpful

I played this the first time as kid on my father's PC via a demo on the PC magazine CD. So much good memories and my first touch point with vertical Shoot-’em-up games that then I later played a lot on arcade machines. All just to point out that wouldn't the game been a good representer of its genre, I wouldn't spend many more hours on the genre. I loved the over the edge military scenario, weapon and enemy variety, the map design with ground and air targets, the upgrade features between the missions, the slide story elements.1 found this helpful

Fun game, but achievement hunters beware. There's numerous instances of people talking about specific annoying achievements not popping and i have one myself i've multiple times attempted which has failed to pop for at this point hours of attempts. Game itself is enjoyable, though.
Love it. It's nostalgic and it's simple and fun.
