About Remnants of Naezith

Feel the acceleration in this fast-paced grappling hook platformer, Remnants of Naezith.
It focuses on having freedom of movement, solid character control and not having any speed limitations. The fun of swinging with grappling hooks and the amazing feel of acceleration makes a great combination in this game.

You play as Kayra, a human who shares his body with the soul of Naezith, the ancient thunder dragon. With the powers granted to him by the dragon, Kayra will destroy the Remnants of Naezith, enchanted fragments of the dragon's body, to prevent anyone from exploiting their power for evil.

This one’s a really solid arcade platformer with responsive mechanics and a cool grappling hook system. It’s very difficult though, so expect to retry levels a lot. The challenge is fun at first, but it can get a bit repetitive over time. Still, if you’re into hardcore platformers, it’s worth checking out.7 found this helpful

Remnants of Naezith, created by Tolga Ay, is a precision platformer that distinguishes itself through an uncompromising focus on momentum-driven movement and mechanical mastery. While it may initially resemble a traditional 2D platformer, it quickly reveals a far more demanding identity centered around its grappling hook system. You take control of Kayra, a character empowered by a dragon’s essence, navigating dangerous environments with the goal of destroying scattered remnants of that power. The premise is simple, almost understated, but it serves primarily as a framework for what is ultimately a deeply skill-based experience. The defining feature of the game is its grappling hook mechanic, which transforms movement into both the primary challenge and the main source of satisfaction. Instead of relying on conventional jumping alone, players must swing through environments, build momentum, and maintain precise control over their trajectory. The physics-driven design allows for an impressive range of motion, where speed is not capped artificially but instead emerges naturally from player skill. As you become more comfortable with the system, movement begins to feel fluid and expre…1 found this helpful

I'm fairly thankful that I didn't end up buying this game (a friend of mine bought it accidentally and gave it to me as a gift), as I figured out pretty quickly that this isn't the game for me. The game is a very fast paced, challenging platformer, with a steep learning curve. Managing your momentum is extremely important, and the game doesn't really do a great job of explaining how to do this, so you're forced to learn via trial and error. I can see why this would be entertaining for some people, as it does feel really good when you complete a level properly and fly through it at the speed of sound, but the frustration required to reach this point was just too much for me. This was even more frustrating because the game immediately shows you ghosts of other players completing the level successfully, which does help you figure out where to go, but makes you feel even worse when you die repeatedly on a section because you don't know how to proceed while the ghost repeatedly flies past you. There's not really much of a story in this game either, so there's not really a payoff to completing levels other than trying to get your time down as low as possible. If you enjoy competing agai…
