Owned the remake for the Switch, decided to rebuy this game on Steam because the game is awesome. Brings back so many memories :)1 found this helpful
I like side-scrollers with challenges and hidden bonuses. I haven't gotten any charms yet- I'm not at the level that I can tank the special levels until I learn the patterns at the moment- but I know they're THERE to be found and have found at least two of the doors! There's also plenty of "stand there and slash it" mechanics for when the puzzles get frustrating, which is always refreshing to me in side scrollers. I like both puzzles AND hack-n-slash tactics.
Incredible game and incredible remake, buy it and play it! Absolutely love playing it with the old graphics and musics (the new stuff is fantastic too) Also, so happy they brought back the option of having the old inventory Fingers crossed on an option to change the charm stones back to the original logic. The challenge zones to get charm stones are cool and all, but I miss the old charm stones a bit.

A perfect remake of the dragon's trap. If you aren't fond of the changes the game has options to change back to the original style.
Gameplay accessible for all level of gamers, lovely graphics and animations, relaxing soundtrack. My sunday afternoon tasted just like my childhood holidays thanks to this love letter to the Arcade and Megadrive titles.
