About RK Override
**INCOMING BROADCAST**For 50 years, Synergy Corporation has secured our prosperous nation and saved us from tyranny. Today, under the landmark Preservation Statute, the art of modern warfare has changed for the better. Our compliant mechanical mission systems contain our threats at no risk to human life. Our 4th generation Mecha systems have now been accepted into service by your government. 10,000 new units will be delivered over 5 years under a 50 billion dollar contract, creating thousands of jobs at the newly expanded Synergy Central Plant. We have sworn to defend our way of life, and will do everything in our technological power to defeat anyone standing in the way of progress and peace.Reverence to Synergy Corp and glory to our pilots.**END BROADCAST**The only hope against the Scrapper’s endless onslaught has always been Synergy Corp. They have defended the country for years, and managed to convince the Scrappers to agree to the Preservation Statute, ensuring that neither side kills the other. Conflicts are carried out using Mecha, with each Synergy Mecha Captain being assigned an RK System, an Automated Replicant Knowledge System that helps copilot their Mecha and ensure the statute is maintained.Assume the role of Chimera, a Mecha Captain of Synergy Corp, as they fight in this endless war. They have never truly believed in the statute, trusting neither the Scrappers nor Synergy Corp. They believe the only way to end the war is to break the statute and wipe out the Scrappers once and for all. Chimera’s RK System “Ki”, who is optimistic and hopeful about the world, disagrees with their outlook, and tries to convince them to see value in the statute. When Chimera's Mecha Squadron is deployed on a mission to defend the Synergy Central Plant from an invading Scrapper force, the status quo unexpectedly changes, and the fate of the conflict is put in Chimera’s hands.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't with this one. It looks and plays well enough, but it is SUPER slow (and frankly a little boring), and it got to the point where I just got annoyed and stopped playing.
There is a point where your mech gets "overridden", and the controls and screen get messed up. It was VERY annoying trying to navigate when I couldn't see where I was going.
The story just wasn't enough to keep me going unfortunately.1 found this helpful
pretty interesting and unique, it may end up short but its not like i paid an arm and a leg for it, just a nice interactive movie i get to experience1 found this helpful
To put it bluntly, everything in this game is pretty linear, but it can always improve👍, just 2 things that set me off about this game. The pacing was SO awfully boring, and ended up quitting on the override section ;-; The story and dialog was also mostly a blur and i zoned out for most dialogs leading up to the override section I think this game has a very good thought behind it, but just wasn't executed in its fullest potential
this game managed to resonate with me, which is very, very rare to see happen. i thoroughly enjoyed it, and recommend it. i wouldn't do the same actions as the main character would've done, wouldn't
go as far as to kill phoenix
. the game is fairly short, i beat it in an hour. the movement is sometimes clunky, sometimes not. one issue i do have with it is that there is no choice, there's a scene specifically named choice and you can't choose, that i found frustrating. aside from that, i enjoyed this game. really showed me
the descent into madness of the protagonist
RK override is a fun slow-paced narrative driven game. It is an easy game that most people should be able to finish without issue. Most of the game is spent navigating between locations while listening to dialogue and occasionally fighting against the visuals and controls. I love how the game foreshadows it's main twist. If you like narrative games then I recommend trying out RK override.
Rough around the edges sure, but it feels like it has something it wants to say which I am all for. Give it a go!
