About Mecha Ace
Step into the cockpit of a giant robot in an interstellar civil war! Customize your mecha to duel against enemy pilots with "monosaber" plasma swords. Find glory, disgrace, and even love.
"Mecha Ace" is a thrilling interactive sci-fi novel by Paul Wang, where your choices control the story. The game is entirely text-based--without graphics or sound effects--and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Who will you be, pilot? Hero, villain, or renegade? Will you lead a unit of elite pilots to victory? Defeat your enemies with skill, cunning, determination, or heavy firepower? Fight for glory, for power, or for an enduring peace?

I'm a GM with two mecha-TTRPG campaigns behind my back. Thanks to Mecha Ace, now I myself can play something very close to what I've hosted so many times!!! * Great writing, with smart game-design choices! * Desicions matter, provided options are fun! * Good use of tropes of the genre! * Fun! Fun! Fun!1 found this helpful
Really enjoyed the game overall. It had a tight story with plenty of interesting characters and choices. My only complaint is that the story is fairly straightforward and does not deviate depending on your choices but other than that a very good sci-fi mech game/book.
found out so you don't have to you can do gay romance. it's a short game but it's neat and cheap it's pretty cool
One of the best Choice of games you can find, lot's of replayability and very cool RO, especially a certain rival one. It's a stand alone but i wouldn't mind a sequel in the future, even if the endigs are really good and work as conclusive!
2017 Me bought this game to fill the void of mecha games being scarce and love of anime at the time. It was a fun time waster in text form. However there are more mech games and rpg games today that you could play over this..
This game is an incredibly short game for the price and although it markets itself on important decisions being left to the player such a significant amount of them lead to dead ends that i can only assume the game was written with one or two very specific paths in mind. Choices in the very beginning are some of the most impactful as they determine how you play and approach situations for the rest of the game. Control is often stripped away from you completely and more than once the game gives you something cool only for it to be stripped away from you immediately after. The writing is subpar at most times and decent at some. NPCs have almost no development at all don't get invested into them. also the game is still quite buggy even this many years after release. If you were expecting a power fantasy of being an awesome ace pilot from this game you are sorely mistaken. your character is in a very large amount of playthroughs going to be belittled endlessly. You can invest heavily into your skills as a pilot and have them taken from you in an instant also there are way to many points in the game where you are forced to lose no matter what you do or what choices you make these poin…
